I firstly want to say that I will be very sad to leave as I love MPE so much, but I will be the proud owner of a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 as of Monday.

I will now have to try and find a program that is nearly as good as this one seeing as though MPE isn't compatible with the X1. So feel free to ...

I'd have thought that for MPE to be considered the best it would be compatible for all SE phones...Especially if it is an easy thing to do. Surely the X1 won't be the 1st and last to have Windows mobile either...

Will MPE ever work with Windows Mobile or is it a compatibility issue?

Well I am finally getting rid of my C902 and was going to go for this, but what am I gonna do if it doesn't work with MPE.....

Am I right in thinking that MPE will not work with this phone? If so is this a temporary thing or will it never work?

OK, if i'm right then the PC-Suite uses COM16, please try to connect with COM16 and then send a message. Please note:
- normally its not recommened to use this port cause often it produces buffer-overflows, but its just for test now
- take care that you send really short messages ( < 20 chars) to ...

I am currently using PC Suite and it works no problem at all, but is no way as good as MPE....

Check some other forums for "firmware" f.e. esato.com and you'll see thet the value which MPE shows is the correct label for Firmware-version. There are some more versions for Cam-Driver,l firmware-revision and some other things, i think the UpdateChecker showed one of these

Firmware-Versions of SE mostly begins with R and they have not more then 7 digits. Maybe you mean the revision of your firmware.

No idea it was just what it said on the SE Update Checker.

I have noticed that the firmware on my phone is different to that on MPE:

I have checked with SE Update and it says I have the latest version which is:

A CDF1208-7428, but MPE shows:

R3DA026

Am I missing something?

My contacts for both sim and phone don't actually reflect what is in my phone even after I have sync or downloaded with the arrow....

If I delete a contact it goes from MPE, but not the phone....

I sometimes get Sim entry could not be changed if I try to edit a contact...

I spoke too soon. I have sent well over 30 sms since the firmware update and all was well receiving too, but then it has gone back to normal...

Sorry FJ you lost me with your last. Are you talking about the Sony Ericsson PC Suite that comes with the phone?

What I have noticed is after a text message is received you get disconnected from MPE, but if you click on monitor you see that the battery image is empty, but then it reconnects and you just have to refresh the inbox...

Oh well I am having the same issues on there as I am on MPE....

FMA keeps connected while sending the message but MyPhoneExplorer not ? Thats really new for me.

Can you reproduce and confirm it with more sms-sendings ? just to be sure that there is really a diffrence how MPE sends the message and how FMA sends it
