Saw the post, haven't seen a resolution for version 1.8.8; appears during backup and did also appear during SMS capture on Multi-sync. I deleted a lot of SMS messages, but apparently "archive" on the phone still holds.

The easiest way to 'backup' contacts so that a sync using MPE doesn't delete/duplicate any is simply to create a sub-folder under the main contacts folder. MPE lets you select which of these folders to sync. Just copy all of your contacts to this sub-folder and sync away, happy in the knowledge you ...

The beta version fixed my "Plus" area code problem as otherwise reported; it also appears to have fixed some other area code format issues that I haven't even noticed yet.
