I appear to have solved this problem.
In My Phone Explorer, I right-clicked on the "DCIM" folder.
I selected "Refresh All Folders".
After the refresh completed, the subdirectories showed up in File Browser, and the photo sync succeeded. I suspect that this, plus the prior steps, made the ...

I tried mounting the drive under windows.
The "DCIM" folder and subdirectories showed up as "Read Only". I changed it under windows, unmounted the drive, and tried again. I still get the error message.

Just wanted to confirm that the beta client 1.0.15 beta11 appears to have fixed the problems I was having (OBEX D0 error). I'm using a Samsung Nexus S with ICS 4.0.3, syncing against Google and Outlook 2010.
