The usb problem was a result of either the rom I had been using or more likely some system app/service I removed.

After a fresh wipe and install of the above rom MPE is now syncing over USB again.

But I stand by my last comment though, USB debugging leaves the phone unsecured. Like most people ...

The problem seems to be isolated to USB as I was able to do a sync over Bluetooth. We really need MPE to work without USB debugging turned on.

I am running the following stock rom version on my S4 (GT-9505) - i9505XXUAMDD. My phones does NOT have samsung knox on it (I made sure of that when I bought it)

@FJ, after some checking I eventually understood how the Malware got on the PC and its down to the way the buttons look in the installer.

On the "promotion" screen the 'decline' button is partially ...

And more fun, I found yet more malware that had silently installed itself onto the PC... FFS!

But today I want to download and install MPE on the spare pc and found the installer from the new "DownloadBestSoft" download link comes with MALWARE and search bar hijacker built in ...

After about half a dozen or so sync's, a tick-box appeared on the donate pop-up to stop it coming up - thanks for that. So in light of this this the toolbar prompt issue can be mostly ignored.

I donated to MPE so I/we would not have to put up with spyware/toolbar in the installer. That's bad enough but now there is a 4 second delay on the donate/close pop-up window whey closing the application.

If this is the direction that MPE is going in can you supply a separate version for ...
