OK.
I reinstalled 1.8.4. and interupted the initial sync so that it would not crash.
First sync was with calendar - OK
Then tried the sync contacts and got app crash...and ongoing crash on startup.
Located the DAT files in the following directory: C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\MyPhoneExplorer ...

App Crash Problem
I have been able to use MyPhone Explorer in the past with my current setup, however recently the application will crash on startup every time.
I have tried multiple different compatibility modes and run as administrator.
The Message is as follows:
