you have to switch the default SMS app to Myphoneexplorer client before you can delete sms on the phone using Myphone Explorer on the Desktop.

Have been trying to find a workaround since last year.

Its an Android restriction (not sure starting what version)

But apparently, the Android version ONLY allows messages to be saved on the phone by the default SMS app.

I jumped from Win7 to Win10, in Win7 where my Bluetooth connectivity was working fine, I noticed that under the phone properties-> Services Tab, there were a lot of services listed, but now with Win10, I just see 3:

Remote Control
Serial port (SPP) MyPhoneExplorer COM5

I can connect fine via Wifi and USB, its bluetooth that is not working.

I too am having the same problems with Windows 10 and I just auto-updated yesterday. still no luck. WIFI and USB working, just not with Bluetooth

since switching to a smartphone, I've kept all of my text messages in the inbox and sent box. I hope a feature would come out that would enable me to automatically "Move" all sent and inbox messages older than the defined date into an Archive folder in my computer.
