This multiple feature you´re looking for will not come to the MPE.

But where is the problem in using Thunderbird? It´s free.
You could also set the MPE to sync your calendars to Outlook and the contacts to Thunderbird.
Or, if this all to complicated, you sync online via google but that you don´t ...

Sorry guy, this is not how the MPE is supposed to work.
Only thing you can do, is to sync with a third party app like Outlook oder Thunderbird and sync all of your devices with the same OL/TB account. In this case you have to keep trak of your changes.

I use MPE with multiple phones and it looks as if I have to set up one MPE user for each individual phone. This means it sets up separate data (contacts, appointments etc) for each individual phone. This is a nuisance as it means I have to update each set of data (contacts, appointments etc ...

If you have 2 devices then you will have 2 users. On the PC go to File -> User - and choose the on eyou weant. Also on the PC, you will have to alter the 'settings' for each user individually. So choose the 'user' then go to 'settings', etc.

The on eto 'tick' is the on eyou wish to display in your calendar app (which should have an option to display one or more calendars). I sync to my Google calendar (my gmail address) but turn Google sync off before the first sync with Outlook.
I have tried ticking al the boxes but no luck so far ...

On the phone check MPE Settings > Calendars to sync.
