No, I don't think Android does keep this info. I agree, it would be nice. Previous SEMC handsets have shown the send and receipt time, but Android doesn't seem to.

Maybe there's an app for that?

MPE doesn't do anything to the files it copies to the sync location. It will compare the folder contents so as to only copy new files on future syncs, but that's about it. Therefore, if you just copied the 'backed up' files in your copy folder back to your SD card, they would be fine ...

When you plug in the USB and the message comes up to ask what you want to do, can you hit the back button to get rid of the message & keep the phone charging?

In the MPE settings box, under 'Connection' make sure your phone type is selected as "Phone with Google Android-OS"

I really would like some help with this now, as I've noticed entries are being deleted from MPE & the phone when synchronising with Google. It mostly seems to be birthdays, but other events are disappearing, too. I would not expect an event that has been added to the phone to be deleted ...

Just to let you know, a lot of people seem to be having problems with Wine on Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. A new security feature was added that disables the first 64KB of memory. If you are having trouble running Wine, try running the following from a terminal:

I have a K850 and the camera is very good. As for using the internet, the experience is never going to be brilliant unless you have a touch screen. Installing Opera makes it much better, but it's still too cumbersome to really be practical for more than a quick search (say, to find cinema listings ...

Probably fairly low doen the priority list, but I'd really like to see a clock in MPE.

For example, I'd like to know what the time is on the phone while I'm using the organiser functions. This would be particularly useful when travelling and using different time zones.

OSX is a UNIX-like system, but the commands are largely different. The Linux script would need changing for it to work on a Mac. Maybe Parallels or some other virtualisation software would do the trick?

FYI, I had not been using MPE for a while and I still got the same error last weekend. Had to do another master reset.

This proves it's not MPE that's at fault, but the K850 instead.

I do use the back-up function, but that doesn't help when you add numbers between back-ups and the phone crashes!
