I'm using MPE for years and on many SE phones so far. However, my company gave me other brands, Nokia, Samsung (for work) -- i know they won't work with MPE :(.

Can you recommend me independent SW like MPE which works with popular brands, like SE, Nokia, Samsung? They're not your competition , you ...

If a phone is connected in phone mode, mpe can recognize it, but the windows explorer doesn't show it as a drive.

I still have an old SE K510i and would like to use it with MPE over USB-cable connection. However, there are NO drivers on SE page for it (except for PC Suite). I was looking for a small USB driver, nothing else.

MPE didn't recognize my phone, nor PC as a drive (in Phone mode).

No my friend,
Just in the circle of SE phones.
That's really I bad news. I'd like to stay with SE, but they have no products for:

+ 3,5G HSDPA 2100
+ WiFi
+ GPS
+ smartphone
= results: X1 :(

If i replace SE with Nokia I get bunch of models, like E71, E66, N78 , based ...

MPE is designed to work with SE phones not other brands.
There is no plan to implement for Xperia.
It works with almost all java based and Symbian os of SE phones.
If you are insist to use MPE and want to buy Symbian os mobiles, just go for one of those you mentioned.

Furthermore, you can merge contacts on Google, since it offer that solution.

Be sure to delete all contacts from Google that contains the same email as those in your phone. Then force-sync, then merge and sync both. It should work fine!

Can MPE be used on SE phones running on Windows Mobile or Symbian?
- If yes, witch versions ?
- If yes, can it be used with non-SE phones running WM or Symbian?


SE recently introduced it's first Windows Mobile phone: XPERIA X1 .
SE also has models running on Symbian: P1, G900, W960, G700, W950 ...
