Hi,

I enjoy MPE and I really like the functionality 'Silent mode on active connection' on my Android phone.

However, I would like to see that functionality improved. I would love to have this setting listed twice -- one for sounds for incoming text messages and one for incoming calls.

In addition to the bug above, I can also report that a low res image is shown when replying and composing a new sms.

I have not (yet) tried to disable notifications in Handcent, but I just want to chime in and say that I also experience the same problem with messages arriving twice...

Downloaded the newest client. Deleting messages is now back to roughly 1 second each - still slow when deleting a lengthy conversation.

Don't know why it was slower the other day...

Installed beta 5 of the client. Now it takes roughly 3 seconds to delete a message...

@FJ Not sure I understand what you mean by: It keeps the unread-flag in MPE as soon you read the message there

Anyway, wouldn't it be more correct behaviour not to mark the message as read in the phone until it is marked as read i MPE?

Yeah, guess the Handcent guys will have to look into this.

There is still one problem though. The "new sms" widget only shows a new message has been received for about a second - even though the message has not yet been read en MPE. I believe this must be a bug in MPE (or the client).

Here is what I did:

1. Received new sms
- MPE shows that I have a new unread message
- My "new sms" widget (not related to Handcent) on the phone shows that I have received a new message, but only for a second.
- Handcent shows I have a new unread message in the notification bar (and it does not ...

Not a critical bug, but an annoyance -- I just selected 30 messages for deletion og pressed the delete button. The operation took roughly 30 seconds which feels quite slow. Can this not be done quicker?

Ouch... middle names are here to stay, so I suggest you look into it sooner than later.

Just kidding - I really appreciate your hard work which makes my phone a lot more usable...

Would it be difficult to implement (at least on Android)? In my country the middle name is often the most distinctive part of peoples' names and I actually have several people in my address book where the middle name is the only part that differs - thus, it can be ...

When downloading my address book to MPE, I only get the first and last names of persons in my Gmail contacts - contacts' middle names are ignored.

When having read a new message in MPE, I still have a notification on the phone saying I have a new unread message.

I am using Handcent as sms application on the phone, so this may have something to do with it?

Minor issue. The icon/image displayed when synching is blocky/low resolution when using a double height task bar in Windows (7).

I believe it is a timing issue of some sort: If I connect manually it seems to work every time. If I connect automatically on startup, it works about 50 % of the times.

Ad 2) Not so great. I guess there are a lot more Android users than Outlook users - and that user base is only growing. Thus, if it is 'easy' to make it work for Android only I will ask you to reconsider that...
