@dvhttn: I cannot explain this issue cause i never was able to reproduce it, but it seems that on some phone the photos are not linked correctly on the phone if they are added when the contact store was empty. Other users had the same problem when they did restore a backup

I have wondered if there are plans to add functionality to the phone side to initiate and manage the sync from the phone.

Would anyone else find this useful?

I removed the PC and android side apps, ran scanpst then reinstalled mpe. it showed up again.

It was visible under options but not accessible to use.

The above steps fixed it.

If we run scanpst, is there a way to reinstall mpe in repair mode to fix things and not overwrite old settings or ...

1. remove mpe apk from phoine
2. remove MPE app and data
3. scanpst on outlook file.
4 reinstall latest app and apk
5. resync

I probably should have done 3 first but outlook was not acting up.

Not sure what database was corrupted or shy but this fixed it.

Each non-mobile platform keeps data in its own format. Going from Outlook to Google loses some data (and in fact corrupts it IIRC when you try to bring it back into Outlook.)

Suddenly, my Outlook add-in disappeared from the outlook toolbar.

sync'ing still works but I cannot initiate it from outlook.

Thanks. That is what I thought. Using the Android data format (which loses Outlook categories etc. as well) seems to be the culprit.

This reinforces the need for a true PIM for Android. OLDorid or something like that...a big moneymaker!

What exactly does Forced sync mode do? What is its real purpose?

Does it examine matching events/contacts and force the selected source to the destination unconditionally yet still copy NEW events/contacts from either source to the other (that would be my understanding) or does it not do copy ...

did the reset again as before...but did not copy back appointments.

Deleted orgainzer.dat
Deleted calendar entries in outlook
Changed the sync setting force outlook to phone.
Sync'd (this removed all entries in phone)

Created appt in OL2010 repeating 5 days. Appt.

Appointments that show up correctly on my X10, in Outlook and on my Outlook Calendar show up a day early in MPE. Not all of them...just some...not a particular type (other than that they are recurring.) If I make the changes in MPE then sync to O2010, they revert back to the wrong dates, while O2010 ...

did you try to enable "wifi" instead of "autodetect" in "connection options"? Maybe (not very hopeful though...) this might help.

I got my wifi to work by switching it from autodetect to wifi.

I sync'd once via wifi, reset it to autodetect, closed ...

Is it possible to sync email folders or would that require using a specific API for an Android email app?
