Has anyone else had any issues with file transfers crashing mid way through?
I'm trying to download all my photos, phone is connecting without issue via USB, the downloads start and I'll get anything between approx 6 and 15 or so images transferred quickly and correctly but then it hangs and ...

I know what you mean with the client not syncing after a certain time. It's a bit of a no win situation, if the phone sleeps sync is lost, if the phone stays awake, the CPU gets very hot and the low volt usb charge from pc struggles to keep up with the CPU battery usage ...

I no longer think it is CPU activity as such.
I've just noticed that whenever I have any activity through MPE either sending or receiving, the phone screen does not fully close. To clarify, I have my phone settings set so that my screen display will switch off after 1 min max, which works ...

HTC Desire with MPE 1.8.2 connected via USB to PC

I've just updated to latest version and have a couple of observations.

Firstly, the previous version I found used to crash regularly, but the latest version seems much better in that regard but I've now noticed my phone is getting very hot ...

Problem gone again.
Rebooted pc this morning and MPE started perfectly without any issue.
I guess something crashed.

... I also have this issue now. Software has been working fine since install a couple of weeks ago, and was also working until about 1 hour ago. Unplugged my phone from USB, when I reconnected I now get the same error.

"Socket error: 10061 - Connection is forcefully rejected.

It appears to be something the software guys are aware of, I think the intent is to fix this bug on the next version release.

Although there are a few minor bugs still occurring, this is by far the best software I have yet found for controlling my phone via pc. I used MPE for years with my old SE K800, and have been struggling to find anything anywhere near as good since changing my phone to an HTC Desire about 4 months ...

Me too........... but, in my case MPE tells me the message has failed sending, the SMS also does NOT show on my phone in sent items, BUT the texts HAVE gone. I just tried to send a text with 165 characters and made 6 attempts, which according to MPE all failed to send, but all 6 arrived at their ...
