Stop screen from turning on

Whenever my phone's screen is off and I start a multi-sync, or when I get a mirrored notification, the screen turns on. Is there a way to prevent that?

The screen is enabled on sync to ensure that the phone will not go into standby. You cannot disable this. If a notification arrives then MPE does NOT force the screen of the phone to switch on.
