Sync Contacts With Outlook nearly perfect, but ...

Hi ,

First of all, sorry for my poor English , but I will try to post my questions.

The Sync between My Phon and OUTLOOK through MPE is working very well but i found a little trouble.

When I add an Image to a contact in OUTLOOK without any other modification, this image is not comming in my phone after the Sync.
If i make another modification, like phone number for example, so the image is coming (it seams sync is not working when modifications are only on the Ilage in OUTLOOK (i have not try in the other way !)).

Try bsearching for other threads on contact pictures as there have been a few! Basically it's next to impossible to detect a change in a contact if the only change is the picture. Other threads should explain why. If I add a contact picture (on my PC in Outlook) I then 'delete' the whole contact on the phone and re-sync. A little bit of a pain but it works.

Are you sure ?
If the picture is changed, i can undesrstand, but in my case, they where no picture, so i add a new picture. It seam it's a big change isnt'it ? no picture -> to a picture.

In this cas, better to add/change somethoing in an other field like INFO and the Sync, including the Foto is working. More simple (i mean, when i add a picture in OUTLOOK i also add a SLASH in INFO)

I explained the reasons for this issue very often, you can search it in the forum or not but i will not tell the whole story again and again.

@dvhttn: Since MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.5 there is a Outlook-Button in the contactwindow of MyPhoneExplorer. The sense of this button is to transfer the contactpicture very easily from/to Outlook.

delete your account and your contacts in the phone.

Create a new account and sync again and you will have the pictures of the contacts

Hi,

Since I know that issue, I solve it in a very simple way : Whenever the only change in the contact is the picture, I also had a dot or a space in the "Notes" field of this contact and that's it !
