SMS & conversation delete, "locked" messages

Is there a way to have MPE respect the "locked" status of a message, if it's been locked on the phone?

Currently if a message is "locked", deleting a conversation using on-the-phone Messaging that includes that locked message results in that message remaining.

But doing the same thing from MPE deletes everything, even the "locked" messages.

What happens if you use a different (third) messaging app?
Does this app use the "locked"-flag properly?

Test:

Message locked in MESSAGING.
Attempt to delete with HANDCENT.
Get a popup with a checkbox "Delete locked message?"
Leave unchecked.
Message is not deleted.

Reverse process (lock with HANDCENT, attempt delete with MESSAGING), same result.

Messages locked with either are deleted by MPE with no prompts.

And as far as I can see, there's no way to set a "locked" or "protected" switch from within MPE, so no way to test that.
