Has anyone been able to sync files to the external storage (while formatted as external storage) on Android Marshmallow?
After updating my phone (unlocked HTC M9, US version) the external storage option disappeared . I tried accessing the external storage through system storage, but I got an error message when trying to sync files.
If the microSD card is formatted as internal memory, would MyPhoneExplorer be able to sync files to it.

Works fine for me running 6.0.1 AOSP on a Galaxy S4. I am rooted though and the sdcard is formatted as FAT32.
Can you see the SDCard on the phone? Have you chosen 'Document storage' as the 'type' to use the SDCard as?
Can't see why MPE couldn't sync files from it if the SDCard was formatted as internal storage though remember that if you do so you will NOT be able to use the card in another phone and if you do something like change the ROM you will lose all data on it so you'll have to backup up things first.
