Robertdol hat Folgendes geschrieben: | Hi,
I am a paid supporter of My Phone Explorer for some time now.
I just purchased a new Windows 10 system and My Phone Explorer crashes every time when i try and sync. It does not crash on my windows 8.1 system.
I have tried using all types of sync methods and have downloaded the latest version 1.8.7.
I have even tried compatibility mode for windows 8 and windows 7 with no success. The program will launch and connect, but when I go to sync, it just shows a box saying the program is not working and windows is trying to find a solution.
Then everything closes with no sync or error.
I should add, this has happened since the new windows 10 anniversary update and I did a new install to try and fix the problem.
Please advise.

I have been looking and still no answer or update to our crashing problem. Is anyone aware of any other program we can use?
I have donated for support of this program. It appears the developer is no longer going to support this or care that we have supported them and are left with empty promises.

I turned off the ballooon help as suggested - no change. MPE crashes randomly while in sync (2 out of 3 times), and sometimes even when I open settings. The crash is always without any message box. I have Windows 10 Ultimate, and all other applications work fine. Here's an excerpt of my logfile, right before it crashes during sync:

Just got a new phone - Samsung Galaxy S7. Installed MPE on the phone using Titanium Backup (from an S4 running a CM Marshmallow variant), linked via wifi and all works. Running W10 Home with all updates.
I also downloaded Odin and the latest USB driver set from the Samsung website and can connect fine, both with Odin and with MPE. And with MPE the sync with Outlook (2010) works fine with no crashes.
So, if you're crashing and using MPE are you using the latest USB drivers? |

Hi Dave,
Zitat: | So, if you're crashing and using MPE are you using the latest USB drivers? |
How can I tell whether I am using the latest USB drivers?
(Btw, my "baloon" crashes happen via WIFI connection as well.) |

Just as others have shown, MPE crashes when I try to sync. This problem is with wifi and usb connection. I am disappointed as I used to rely on this program. I guess I will find another solution. |

I found the solution on my PC: MPE is not compatible with the newest Phoner.exe (version 3.11) running on the same machine!
Phoner.exe is one of the best free SIP softphone applications for Windows. However, it seems to collide with MPE, probably using some common resources or interface.
Maybe someone can figure it out.
PS: I haven't tried it with PhonerLite. |

I do not have Phoner program installed on my computer so I don't think that is the issue with my computer. |

Phoner was the application that was causing constant crashes of MPE on my Windows 10. Maybe MPE is using some interface or resource, that Windows 10 does not allow to share with other apps. Maybe the dev of MPE can use this information to solve the puzzle. |

I have to correct my statement about phoner: Disabling it solved some crashes, but not all.
MPE is still very unstable in my Windows 10 machine. I have no problems with any other software.
MPE crashes at least once during every sync - most frequently while syncing the message folder. |

Installed newest Windows 10 (64 bit) Updates.
MPE is still crashing on every sync (mostly at end of message sync or after sending an SMS), but also when I just plain open the settings dialog.
Currently, it's the only unstable software on my machine. In fact, it crashes so often that's it's on the verge of not being usable. This is very sad - MPE used to be such a good software - now I need to look for an alternative if it's not solved in the next update. |

How are ypou connecting to the phone? USB? Wifi? Bluetooth? If USB, try using wifi.
You blame MPE for maybe "... using some interface or resource, that Windows 10 does not allow to share with other apps ..". Have you tried a clean install of W10? If you do, then just install MPE and Outlook and try a sync. If it works try installing other apps until it fails - if it does.
As I've said, I use MPE on a W10 machine with Outlook and have NO crashes. |

I'm using Wifi. Worked fine on Vista and Windows 7. I have no means & time to do a "clean install". I'm a developer myself.
The "sharing resources" idea was only a shot in the blue - I have no idea why MPE is crashing. It crashes half the time I open "Settings", and always when doing a messages folder sync. I have a HTC Desire Eye.
PS: Anyone wishing to debug is welcome to look at my installation using Teamviewer. |
