Will not connect - My phone Explorer shuts down

PC Operating Sys: Windows 10
Phone: HTC M8
Latest version of My Phone Explorer is on PC
On phone version 1.0.40 is loaded
WiFi Pin enabled.

I have been using My phone explorer for over 18 months with no issues.
I changed nothing on PC or Phone, but for the last 7 days I have been unable to connect the devices. I uninstalled PC and Phone and re-installed. Still no change.

Software is open on handset, I open on PC - it starts, Icon appears in system tray and within a few seconds closes completely.

If I close app on handset - then open on PC only, it searches for phone on WiFi - cannot locate and then also closes completely, disappearing from system tray. So I cannot access any settings to review.

Please help....

It seems others are having a similar issue to me....

I am frustrated as I cannot use the application - can someone please give me some help

Sadly I am also having this same problem and have posted asking for help.

I hope the admin visits soon & helps all of us to get past this trouble !?!

Such a wonderful & useful tool - but no way to get help with it.

Same problem here as well with W8.1 and Samsung Galaxy S4 (Lollipop).
Since I have 2 partitions on my computer one with W8.1 (my default) and W10 with the other I made the test on the second and everything is working fine.
Therefore it is not a problem with my computer, mobile and USB connexion , rather a problem within my installation of MyphoneEplorer in W8.1 despite successive uninstall / install and registry cleaning.
At this point I am stuck and would appreciate any advice.
