Recent update 1.8.8 Not working

I have used now for quite some time.
I recently updated to 1.8.8 and was attempting a backup, however the program closed twice "stopped working"
The first time it just stopped. The second time it gave a (runtime error '28':)
The message was "out of stack space"

Can anyone help point me in the right direction please?

Saw the post, haven't seen a resolution for version 1.8.8; appears during backup and did also appear during SMS capture on Multi-sync. I deleted a lot of SMS messages, but apparently "archive" on the phone still holds.

Error Box "MyPhoneExplorer has stopped working", behind it a couple dialog notices of "Run-time error 28, Out of stack space".

This during Backup Wizard (not responding)
Current "Download messages (1540 of 8781) might be too many to process, not sure. Any hints on fix appreciated...
