Strange behaviour after last update of Outlook and Windows:
All events that have dates between april and october (04/01 - 10/30) are displayed correctly in Outlook on my PC but oddly shifted 1 day before on my Android device. This happens all years in the future (not only on 2018). Except if events have a recurrence.
For example, Victory day is displayed 8th of may on my PC/Outlook but is displayed 7th of may on my Android (Google Calendar or Business Calendar or Sony Calendar doesn't make any difference).
But Armistice Day 1918 (11th of november) is displayed properly on both my PC and Android.
NB: these event examples have been chosen randomly, please don't see any political or philosophical explanation, it is the same for all the events between these dates
When I synced, MPE said for Victory day: use entry from Outlook (Entry in phone = 05/08, Entry in Outlook = 05/07). In my PC/Outlook it is displayed on the 05/08, though.
I had no problem before (been using MPE for years now). I have uninstalled/reinstalled MPE and sync on PC and Android, doesn't solve.
Am I the only one to have noticed this?
My info:
MS Surface Pro 4
Windows 10 Professional version 1809, 17763.194
Office 2016 MSO 16.0.11029.20045 32 bits
MPE on PC 1.8.11
MPE Client on Android 1.0.47
Sony Xperia XZ Premium (Android 9 Pie)
or Xperia XZ2 compact (Android Pie)
All devices and programs updated to latest versions of course |

You must be right. This must be somehow related to daylight saving.
But why does MPE during sync tell me that the event 'Victory day' is on the 05/07 since it is properly displayed in Outlook on my PC (even when I edit it, it shows start and end on the 05/08 (full day))?????
What happened after the update? Everything was ok before..... |

For now, on my PC, I transferred all my Outlook Calendar to Thunderbird Calendar and the synchronization is ok between MPE and Thunderbird!!!!!
Except this point: I lost all the categories (and colors) on my Android (MPE does not sync colors/categories with Thunderbird?)
So I'm switching back to Outlook sync.... |

Doesn't make any difference since when I synchronize with Outlook, the events in MPE program on my PC show the wrong dates (like on my android), but NOT in Outlook on my PC.
Note about wrong dates: it is not true for events that have a recurrence (those are displayed right on MPE and Android) |

Of course you have to correct it in MPE before the sync. Outlook displays the appointments correctly, but has stored them incorrectly internally |

I have modified the Event 'Victory Day' on MPE (or on phone) from the date 07/05 to 08/05 and sync with Outlook.
Now it is displayed correctly on my phone and MPE but, on Outlook it is displayed wrong: All day Event=checked, start=05/08/2018 00:00, end=05/09/2018 01:00. It is now overlapping two days in Outlook.
Strange behaviour. Must be caused by summer/winter time in Windows. When MPE is requesting event list to Outlook, the answer is not giving the correct schedule for events during summer time.
So I switched system time of my PC to 05/15/2019 (summer time), and Sync with Outlook. Then MPE said for 'Victory day' use entry in Outlook -date 05/08- and entry in MPE is 05/07. |

Please delete the appointment in Outlook before the sync, then it should work
Your time settings in the phone and on the PC are hopefully correct? |

Yes times are correct. As I said before, my sync Outlook with MPE has been working fine for years...
Now (in winter), the problem (which is -1 hour/day to events time) is with ALL events (except those that have a recurrence) that are on summer time (not only this event 'Victory Day', this is an example). In my case it is about 300 events.
If I switch to Summer time (I set date in may) on my PC, the problem is then with my events in winter...
Tremendous!
Merry Christmas? |

It might be related to this Version 1809 of Windows 10 (October update)....
Another bug for Microsoft Windows
When I have another computer with Windows 10 Version 1803, I'll try to synchronize and see if the problem is present. |
