Hi,
Very nice app, but I miss one feature.
It seemes like MPE does not handle the PREF attribute in vcf files for the phone numbers entered for a person in the contact list. As I import a
huge (~500 people) automaticly generated list of people regularily it is really annoying that the phone insists on showing the mobile number as default when I want the land based number as default. The K610 has marking of preferred number for a contact and MPE has no marking for preferred number. Is it possible to add handling of this feature for vcf files that are imported ? (TEL;PREF;WORK;VOICE:.....)

I have a feature request.
Is it possible to do the file manager two-paneled? like the motorola file manager, total commander.
such as for one side will be the phone directories and the other side will be the computer directories.
so this will be more simple to copy the files to phone or from phone.

The strange thing is that what is displayed as default differs if I transfer the vcf file directly as a file transfer to the phone, and when I import it to MPE contact list first and then synchronize with the phone...

It will be good if we could access the contact list from a new appointment location to add the address from the contact list, am I clear?

In other way, when I create an appointment, sometimes it happens that I have already the address in the contact list, so it would be good if I could access it without exiting the appointment window?

Also, I think you should create an icon for email sending from the contact list?

It will be good if you could implement his work into MPE. I'm sure many people would appreciate.

I still wonder why it is not possible to use the PREF attribute in vcf files when the phone (K610) actually has a "default number" that I can set on a contact.
Is the phone lacking this feature in the contact list interface?

Another question: is there a way to program a "pause" in a phonenumber in MPE? because it is possible in the phone (by holding down the * key, after a while it marks this with a "p" in the phonenumber being edited), but when I sync this with MPE, the "pause" is not visible in MPE. This is a neccessary functionality if programming numbers used for controling devices connected with the phoneline, i.e. phone message boxes, home burglar alarms and others.

Thats the point. The interface also uses vcf-Data but i get no PREF-Tag and its also not possible to set the PREF-Tag

If you use the newest version then it depends on the phone. I tried exactly the same with my W880i and it worked without a problem.

Sorry - i missed to answer it.
It doesn't match to the concept of MyPhoneExplorer. MyPhoneExplorer should keep the interface so easy as possible. You have already full Drag&Drop support in both directions. I think this is enought.

My phone event storage is full so although I can add events in the MPE calendar, they don't copy to my phone.

I do have a lot of old events, but I want to keep them for reference. Would it be possible to right click on selected events and "Archive them" - so they're stored in MPE (with a flag to indicate archived) but deleted from the phone? Extending this, MPE could perhaps do this automatically for events that are 1 week old/1 month old/1 year old (or a customisable value).

@Gast: Basicly its a good idea, but i'm afraid that it will disturb alot of users. Everything in MyPhoneExplorer is designed tghat the user knows: Exactly this entrys are on the phone. This should be keeped. You could sync with a Sunbird, Outlook, Rainlendar, Google or a simple iCal-File to keep the old entries (there you can set a date-range to sync).

The phone can hold 300 Events.

another good thing for this program would be a function that would check your current account balance. depending on the vendor and the service provider you can check it.

for example, here (Orange) provides you a general code for recieving a display of your current account. you dial #131# and a couple of seconds later it would display the current mount in minutes of the plan, and also if you added a card to it, it displays the mount of cash of it.

also a button function for the same actions you get on the menus. example: F2 - Multi Sync
Ctrl + K: Phone keypad

Something like that.

in general, i like the program a lot, i've been using it for a week, and it's been great.
