Cannot start MPE

I've used MPE for years and years but suddenly I cannot get it to function. When I try to open it, the MPE window opens and the immediately disappears.

Please help!

Try Reinstalling MPE over it.
Otherwise it might help to start MPE with administrator rights.

Reinstalled and started with admin rights. Sorry, no change.

I renamed general.ini and then I started MPE. All OK now.
