MyPhoneExplorer 1.66

MPE is a great piece of software but v1.66 installs some malware ebayshortcuts.exe. Is this deliberate as a fund raising technique. If so tell us what the software is and what it does as I have spent a lot of time working out whether my computer is now infected with trojans or viruses

It's not hidden and it's not malware.
You can choose to install it or not when installing MPE.

It's no virus or trojans, it's only al little sponsorship for the author`s work.
You can choose the option (like Zayoos said), when you install MPE.
If you want delete it, you must delete following things:

%appdata%\AD ON Multimedia\ebayshortcuts.exe
Shortcut on the desktop
Shortcut in the quicklaunch-bar
Shortcut in the startmenu

Agreed, you can a) uncheck the checkbox during install, or b) remove the link manually after install.

Quit whining already, you get for free what you can't get for money for other phones. Keep up the good work FJ, I actually bought me and my girlfriend a SE phone only because of MPE!

I don't like malware, but this isn't malware. This is some kind of 'adware' Just like the google toolbar which is added to some freeware etc.
