Using a proxy server

Beitrag von purp1euk »

Hello. I need to get MyPhoneExplorer to use my Universities proxy server in order to allow the clock on my phone to be synchronised. However I've looked through the menus but couldn't find anywhere I can give a proxy server address.

Can anyone help?

Kind Regards,

Matt

This is not possible, you have to set your local pc-watch in the settings

I saif its not possible for clock-sync.

Google-Sync should work. MyPhoneexplorer uses the proxy-settings of the windows internet explorer.

I'm also having trouble with Google sync. The sync fails with "loading entries from Google failed! 401 Authorization required!". The strange thing is the setup works fine - it connects to Google and I can see my calendars listed.

I think our proxy needs NTLM authentication, which often causes problems.

Can you please start MyPhoneExplorer in debugmode (startparameter: debug). Then reproduce the error and post or send me the logfile via mail.

Fixed now :D .

I just needed to log into Google with IE. I usually use Firefox as a browser, so IE wasn't logged in.

Thanks for the debug mode tip. I eventually found the log file hidden in my Documents and settings folder. That showed the URL it was trying to get. I tried it in IE and got the 401 auth error. Realised that I might need to log in to Google and this fixed it.

Thanks,
Rhys

My proxy needs authetication, so I get a HTTP 200 response. Can the credentials be entered anywhere?

Thanks,
Stefan

If a proxy needs authentification he should reply a 407 HTML-Code. In this case MPE will show a credentials-window. This is the standard. HTML-Code 200 means that there was no error. You should ask your provider why his proxy doesn't work with common standards.

Proxy with authentication used to work fine here, but after changing the password it will not work anymore. I removed the entries in the .ini that harvested the username+password. Now I only get:

"Loading entries from Google failed!
999 HTTPSendRequest failed; SystemError: 12057 []"

IE has no problems (proxy setup is correct).

(using portable version)

It has nothing to do with MyPhoneExplorer and i think it has also nothing to do with the proxy. Please google for "WinInet 12057" -> must be a problem with the site-certificate, maybe it helps to change the security-settings or to clear the browsercache (IE)
