Seems far too much to me and I don't think this number is right because the number of possible sms is changing all the time. Is it because of the phone?
Even the upgrade to version 1.7.0 did not solve this.
Either your W910 is patched or it has by default a dynamical SMS-Storage. Long time ago i patched my K700i so it was theorethical possible to save over 30.000 SMS on a old K700i
