My computer went down and the PC support had to install a new harddisk.
However they took a backup on everything on the local disk.
Now I've reinstalled MyphoneExplorer and wonders if of any reason
if it is possible to get the smses (inbox, sent, archived on computer) and the contacts back. Where are they normally stored ?
Does my phone need to have the same name as before in order
to get the files back (if possible at all under these circumstances)?
The path (in Vista) is: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\MyPhoneExplorer
You need not to give the same name inside MPE because the phone is identified by the IMEI.
Just replace the new folder (which is named with your phone's name and IMEI) with the old, recovered one.
Thanks, I did a mistake. Since I didn't find the application MyPhoneExplorer in my programs I installed it and it seems then that the restored files were lost. I cannot find my old phone
