Mozilla Thunderbird hangs while looking for updates to MPE

Beitrag von kewlguy »

OS: XP Service pack 3
Thunderbird version 2.0.0.22 (20090605)
MPE Extension Version 0.9.61
MPE Version 1.7.3

I am all of a sudden having many difficulties with my Mozilla Thunderbird email client. I recently reinstalled because of the hang ups.

After install of latest version I find that the extension for MPE is hanging on update which is hanging the whole update process?

Any ideas of what to look at or what to change? Is there a log that I could be providing to be more helpful?

Check if the files:
C:\Programs\myPhoneExplorer\mpe-addin.xpi
C:\Programs\myPhoneExplorer\update.rdf
exists. If not then reinstall MyPhoneExplorer.

I replaced the files that were noted, and, all is good

Do you get errors in Thunderbirds Javascript Error console?

No errors.

It seems to be the problem with TB - i'm going to verify by doing clean install.
I will get back to you as soon as I know more.
