Contacts Picture - Which phones support it (K800i desn't)

Beitrag von mortonato »

Sorry if this was already asked, but I found nothing.

Since 1.7.3 that MPE supports sync contact picture and MPE detects automaticly if the phone support or not this feature, so far so good.

My question is: Wich phones have this feature (read/write contact pictures) and how do I know if my does (without have to use the MPE). I use k800i and I know it doesn't support this because it doesn't appear contact pictures in MPE. But imagine that I want a new phone, how do I know if the new phone will support this?

There is any documentation in Sony website or another place where I can search for this info?

(With this information maybe I could try to flash my k800i firmware in order to make it possible to add this feature to it)

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, I have already seen that post before, but as you can see, that post is from November of 2008, and 1.7.3 is from this year, so when that post was created and today many things changed, actually in the installation I have (1.7.4) there isn't any general.ini file in the installation directory.

I will wait for FJ feedback if he has time.

Thanks again.

The Force-Contact-Image-Tweak does not help in this case. Its hard to say cause MPE tests if its supported during the initial sync. There is no Database which tells MPE if it works on a special modell. All i know is that it works on W910, C702, C902, C905, W705, W715 and W995.

If you tell me which phone you want to buy maybe i find somebody which can test it for me.
