Call Time and Cost

Thank you for your great efforts on MyPhoneExplorer software. I have used it approximately for a year and still enjoy using it like the first day.

I want to ask you to add a new feature to your great software. I ask you to add a kind of functionality to the software so the users can see their "call duration time" and "call cost". It would be great to click on "All" or "Dialled" menus in the call category and see the amount of money that you have spent on each call between "Time" and "Note" columns. Then the user should be able to see the sum of his call costs in a time period which he/she chooses.

I know that there are lots of issues that you should take care of and these issues may even take a whole page in the settings dialog box. The tariff from one's cellphone to another cellphone within the same provider will cost differently from calling to another cellphone witch uses another provider. Also calling a land phone line costs differently.

But the main problem is when a user calls someone who is in another area code or even in another country. I know that some providers charge the users even for the exact distance of their calls.

The last but not the least is the "Cost of each text message" which I think is not a very hard task for you.

I think that if you just add this functionality and let the users enter the different tariffs of their own provider, the problem will be solved.

Besides the diffrent costs on diffrent numbers there is another big problem: It would work only for actions while the phone was connected to MPE.

All in all maybe 25% of the informations would be correct - thats too buggy to implement it.

In the beta i added a teweak which adds the duration of a call into the call-note automatically. Would this helpfully for you ?

I haven't seen it yet but if you can count the duration of a call, so you have solved half of the problem.

In my opinion, first you should try your best to add the "Call Duration" column into Calls category. (of course that is a humble request )

I think it's a disaster that my T650i phone is not able to show each call's duration on it's own. Do you know why those geniuses in SonyErricson didn't put this functionality in their phones?!

What helps a statistic and logging-feature when it does work only while the phone is connected to MPE? Its a half thing. This is also the reason why i don't add a specific column for call-duration

f.e. MPE can save the timestamp of sent messages if the message were sent with MPE - otherwise this information cannot be viewed. I get alot of "bug reports" cause this half thing.

EDIT: Cause of using the new tweak:
- Download the current beta
- open the file %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\general.ini with notepad and add this line under [Main]: AddDurationToCallnote=1

Hey after installing the beta in my current version i.e. 1.7.4 it is showing trouble on startup...can u check?
