new features
1. It would simplify usage of MPE if there was auto-manage mode for messages. What i mean is I turn auto-manage on and it keeps just X latest messages in my inbox, older ones are automatically moved to the archive. The ability to park some messages making them untouchable by auto-manager could be added later. This auto-manager could really help the messages flow through your cell phone 
2. The same auto-manager could work for sent messages. Messages with 'no date' messages would be excluded from auto-manager work.
3. SMS delivery report stored in messages list. When i send SMS through MPE it tells me it was delivered but this information is never stored. If you miss the tooltip with this information you never know if the message is delivered.
4. I think MPE has some problems with screen resolution changes. I am using MPE through Remote Desktop Connection on netbook and it tends to crash often - i am still investigating exact reason. This might be not the resolution change problem.
5. I also spotted problem with deletion of messages from inbox/sentbox while there are huge messages inside (messages made of 40+ sms). Although content was synced a second ago It ends up with 'can not delete message abcd...' and results in further errors. Still investigating, though.

Improvement in list of contacts - birthday reminder related
Once again, thanks for this application.
My sugestion is simple, in "contact list" could it be possible in future releases to put a bell beside birthday if this birthday is configured to appear in calendar (if it has a reminder configured)?
This way I will know by watching contact list if a certain birthday have a reminder set or not.

Maybe a good idea. But i'm not sure if i should implement this. problem: MPE has to search everytime for a matching event in the organizer. In the Edit-Dialog its not a problem cause it has to search only for 1 contact. But if there are maybe 1000 contacts and 1000 events in organizer then it has to check everytime when the list refreshes for 1000000 steps.

Well that seems a bad trade off. If you asked me if I would like to have the bell and a slow response, or a quick response and not a bell, I would choose a quick response.
But I think you could try another aproach. The program storage the calendar and contact information in disk (if I open MyPhoneExplorer I can see both without my phone being connected), so you must have some type of "Database" where you store this information in harddrive. You couldn't add another variable to this "Database" something like a flag that says if the birthday have a reminder configured or not? If you didn't have this database on disk, well you simply didn't show the bell and this feature was kinda off. But for users that have already this stored in hardrive this feature could be on.
What do you think? Am I really off track or this is something doable?

synching with google tasks
The synching with Google Calendar works flawless and I love it. Maybe this has been adressed before, but it would be a very nice feature if the google tasks could also sync with my phone (which to my knowledge is not available at this time).

@Remko: Google has released still no API for the Tasks so its not possible to include them for sync. But i'm aware of this - as soon as Google will provide a Tasks-API i'll implement them.
@Nisses: Very sorry - i forgot to answer. I often thought about a ruled management of messages (like Outlook-Rules for mails). Its a interesting idea - with one big problem: To check already existing items MyPhoneExplorer has to loop throught the message-archive. It sounds easy but in truth it creates a performance-problem. f.e The current phones can hold 7000 messages and more in the phone. Heavy-Users save 50.000 messages and more in the archive. In the above example a full loop would mean 350.000.000 actions. Even a fast PC would need much time for this. I tried already to use Hash-Tables and similar techniques but this makes other problems. Before i cannot find a way to fix this performance-problem i cannot think about automatic rules.

Signal Strength Graph
Hi,
I wanted to have a tool to analyze the signal strength of the phone and I think MPE can very well do that.
I could observe that you have set a frequency of 5 seconds to refresh the values in "Monitor" page, where the "Signal Quality" is also a parameter.
Is it possible to have a graph on the same page or as another child form in "Extras" menu, where the same information can be plotted?
This would help in analyzing the signal strength at a given place or to see how the pattern is changing as the phone is held in hand or kept on a surface or while talking to someone.
Optionally, even temperature and voltage can also be combined in the same graph with different pen styles.
I feel it would be interesting for anyone to see his/her phone's behavior!

well 2 ideas
first some phone numbers don't appear at Outlook (Mobile(H) for example), so if you have 4 or 5 numbers at one contact you lose them at outlook
second, i have to move those numbers from mobile (H) to home number, instead of opening the contact and cut-paste the number it would be easier and faster to drag'n'drop the number between cells at the contacts list, or better to mark some numbers and move them at the next cell

- Backup of MMS and settings: technically not possible
- Modem-functionality is not planned
- there are enought tools for flashing phones. MyPhoneExplorer is a easy-to-use app and it should not contain any features which could damage the phone
- Add tasks to backup: Already possible. They are in "Organizer"
- Browse SMS from SIM: Also possible, take a look at "Saved messages"
