Windows 7 "Sticky notes" are not showing in W7 64b

The basic problem is that its not possible to run or to "see" Stickynot.exe. On the logged lines i see the error 53 which is "File not found".

Did you try already the tip of VMax ?

My guess would be that file protection is blocking something.

Or, StickyNotes is a 64bit application on x64 systems and this is giving problems?

I also cant' synchronize with sticky notes on 1.7.5.

When I run MPE in "run as administrator", it runs but it's not working very well (sticky-notes problem put aside), for example if i go in the setting options and click anywhere i get this message :

This action cannot be completed because the other application is busy. Choose "switch to" to activate the busy application and correct the problem.
[Switch To...] [Retry] [Cancel] <- (cancel is greyed out)

and whatever i choose, it is looping...

Does the file C:\Windows\SysWow64\StikyNot.exe exist on your PC ?

Strange, MSDN says that this should work: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa384203(VS.85).aspx

I did implement the Sysnative-Path now into the beta. Please try it again and post the logfile after you opened the settingswindow.

I have tested the sync, now it does create a sticky-note but it's blank, if i try to resync again (without changing anything), the text appears this time.

In short :

- 1st sync > it creates a blank note (though it contains text)

- 2nd sync > the text appears in the blank note that was created in step 1

Sounds good. Does it work now also if StikyNot.exe was not started before sync ?

Hi,

sorry i couldn't get back to you earlier, i have done some testing.

CASE A
---------
0 notes created in SN + 0 notes created in mpe and SN closed
---------
when I sync :
- SN starts and opens a blank note
- mpe does the sync
- the blank note opened is closed
- SN is closed
Total notes : 0

CASE B
---------
2 notes created in SN + 0 notes created in mpe and SN started
---------
when I sync :
- mpe does the sync and copies the 2 notes from SN to mpe
Total notes : 2

CASE C
---------
2 notes created in SN + 2 notes created in mpe and SN started
---------
when I sync :
- mpe does the sync and copies the 2 notes from mpe to SN
Total notes : 4

if I sync again just for fun, nothing special happens (which is normal

)
but if I close SN, and do the sync again :
- SN starts with the 4 notes
- mpe asks me if i want to deleted the last 2 notes created from mpe

- if i press abort, nothing happens
- i close again SN and try to sync again
- this time, mpe asks me if i want to delete the last 3 notes (2 from mpe and 1 from SN)
- if I press abort nothing happens
- i close again SN and try to sync again
- mpe asks me if i want to delete the last 3 notes (2 from mpe and 1 from SN) (same as before)

- if i press sync
- 3 notes are deleted from mpe but not from SN (still 4 available)
- i close SN
- do the syn again, it deletes again 1 note from mpe, but all 4 still available in SN

then everything is confusing, nothing works as expected.

I got the logfiles. Please download the beta again. i did increase the pasue after executing StikyNot.exe so the process has more time to build the windows.

For the next log: Try to delete a Note in SN with MyphoneExplorer and send me this Log.

All in all the current problem is that MPE is not able to delete a StikyNote. MPE does this actions throught sending keystrokes. Please tell me what happens if you set the focus to a note-window and then press CTRL+D

Hmm - normally there is a extrawindow "Do you really want to delete..." in StikyNotes -> not for the 64bit-Version ?
