Hi,
Thanks for MyPhoneExplorer. The program used to preserve the order of the draft SMS on my phone (which I use for note taking) but now it does not - perhaps it was lost when I sorted the draft messages alphabetically under 'Message'.
I have upgraded to 1.7.6 and uninstalled (deleting phone data on my PC) but the messages appear in a different (seemingly random) order, with the Time for each message marked as 'No indication'.
Is it possible to preserve the order of Draft messages, the same order as they appear on the phone and use the Time column to restore that order if another order is chosen?
Thanks for your help,
Andrew
Draft SMS order lost
Its not possible to sort thje drafts in the same way as in the phone. Cause of the timestamp please read the FAQ
Thanks for your quick response. I've read the section that you pointed me to and understand that the timestamp is not available for draft or sent messages.
As an alternative solution, can MPE retain the order in which messages were downloaded from the phone, index them in that order and allow sorting by that index? In other words, I don't care about the date on which I wrote a message, but it's important to be able to sort the message from most recent to least.
Earlier versions of MPE seemed to do this, but perhaps I had never sorted them alphabetically and having done so I can't go back (even after uninstalling the program and data).
Thanks again,
Andrew
