Hi everybody,
I try to do a complete backup of the phone, just for in case.. ( with Menu Extras -> create backup)
I did tick the files and applis to backup everything (respectively to PC_file_backup_dir and PC_appli_backup_dir)
When the backup finishes, MPE says it is OK.
but in the dir of backup, the appli_backup_dir is OK with many .apk files, but there is almost nothing in the PC_file_backup_dir.... I do have many files on the sd cards...)
Is there anything I missed ??? Some config I missed or Is the content of the SDCard files are sotred elsewhere ??
Thanks in advance for your help...

complete backup does not save files from the SDCards
Thanks FJ for the reply.
I don't think that the SD card is mounted for the usage in windows.
My_computer does not see the Phone_SD_card. Under windows->my_computers, I only see C: and D: drives. and no phone with it's sd_card.
Even if I still cannot get the memory_stick_files, nor the phone_memory_files savced, through the Menu Extras -> create backup , I found a way to do the backup of the SD_card files:
I manually sync the myPhoneExplorer with the memory_stick_files. Once it is completely sync. I copied the synched_files_directory somewhere as backup.
concretely, this is what I did for the manual backup:
Once the phone is conencted to myPhoneExplorer through the USB cable,
1) I choose: Files->sync_customize -> memory_stick or phone memory
then I select src_dir and target_dir, then select sync )
2) I launch the sync. Once sync is complete: copy it somewhere as a backup !!
==> Do you think that if I copies these backed Up files as it is back to the SD_card. It will be OK??
many thanks for your time and help

Hi pipspips,
MPE doesn't do anything to the files it copies to the sync location. It will compare the folder contents so as to only copy new files on future syncs, but that's about it. Therefore, if you just copied the 'backed up' files in your copy folder back to your SD card, they would be fine and the phone would recognise them.
Obvious caveats are around .apk files and application data - just copying a .apk file back to your phone will not install the app and some apps will not recognise configuration data if you just copy the files back.

@Eddie: I have found a bug in the backupwizzard, please update and try: http://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplo ... Update.exe
@Atrix: In case you did not root your phone its not possible to backup the most phone-storage folders like contact-database,... For this you can use the backupwizzard of MPE

Hi FJ,
Just to confirm the success of your debugging...
I had the same probelm as Eddie.
So I downloaded the "MyPhoneExplorer_DebugUpdate.exe".
Now I am able to do the backup of all files. Before the update, it looked like only the files in the root of "Memory Stick" and "Phone Memory" were copied. Now it is also taking all the folders located in those two directories.
Many Thanks for the update.
Regards,
Mathias
