Version 1.8.1
MPE client 1.0.10
SE U20i on 2.1.1.A.0.6
Calendar has been well behaved for some time. I could creat events in Google calendar, on Phone, or on MPE and eventually all are sync'd.
Today I created a new event on Google calendar. After a while I saw this had appeared in the phone also. Later I connected to MPE using USB as usual and did "Download Entire". All other events disappeared from MPE, only the new event was left! I tried "Synchronise" and now many, but not all, events have disappeared from the phone too. No warnings or confimations, just a nearly empty calendar in MPE and in the phone...
Surely MPE should not be able to wipe out all calendar events by accident?
Log file is at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20135218/Debug.txt
So far Google calendar still shows all the Events, so I hope they will eventually sync back to the phone.

All my events are still on my google calendar, but they are not sync'ing back to the phone. I made a couple of events sync by editing them on Google calendar. The edited events sync'd to phone automatically over the mobile data network, but the unedited events still don't sync...
Does anyone know a safe way to force sync Google calendar events into the Android phone calendar?

The phone's own Over-The-Air sync to Google did not recreate the "My Name" Calendar in the phone. It left it almost empty. However, for any event in Google calendar, if I make a tiny edit to that event, then that event will sync OTA to the phone calendar. If in MPE I do Download entire, then the edited event appears in MPE Appointments too. So, if I manually re-edit every single Google calendar entry, in a browser version of Google calendar, then finally all events would be re-sync'd to my phone...
There must be better way to get ALL Google Calendar events back into the phone, without editing each one? Could I use PC MPE settings to Sync Calendar to Google ("not recommended") and Adnvanced Force Google -> Phone? But, does that mean force all Google entries into the Phone, or the other way round?
For MPE Android client I have only enabled sync for "My Name" Calendar, from a big list of available calendars:
Not sure why there are two Sony Ericsson entries.
Right now I don't think MPE is doing anything wrong, but previously it has deleted all "My Name" calendar entries from the phone, which is a big problem. A similar thing happened some months ago, but that time the phone calendar seemed to recover itself.
I wish MPE had only the Download entire option. The Synchronise function, with no confirmations, is just too dangerous!
I don't know if it is related, but my Alarms are no longer showing in MPE. All alarms appear empty in MPE, but I have an alarm set and it wakes me every workday.

I fixed my Calendar, finally. My solution involved a lot of faffing around based on Google calendar's export, delete calendar, and import facilities. I eventually managed to get sync'ed calendars without duplicates.
But still, if Download Entire fails again (partly populating MPE calendar), and if I don't notice the missing events, then MPE may again delete events without warning at next Synchronise.

Force Google -> Phone
Not a good idea, let the phone sync itself. Delete the calendar-database in Settings-Applications-Manage applications
then MPE may again delete events without warning at next Synchronise.
If you sync just phone<>MyPhoneExplorer then nothing will be deleted until you select items for deletion. And if you are syncing with any thirdparty like Outlook then you can enable the confirmation window
