Like a lot of commenters here I am truly happy with MPE! Everything works perfect and A LOT faster and better then Samsung Kies on my SGS2.

One small request though; it would be great to have an auto sync of calendar entries. In other words, when I input an appointment in Outlook, this automaticaly syncs to my phone.

I have been using MPE for about two months now and really enjoy it.

I am using the Task and The Notes widget but have been unable to find a comparable widget for the calendar. I am using one by Pure that seems to work fine but I am sure you have one already but I just can’t find it.

The tasks widget works well but is the a way to resort the order to show the higher priority on the top of the list.

Sorry if this has been posted already a few times, but you can't search within a Topic, only a Section.

I love the new Task and Note apps in V1.8.2, but I have noticed some limitations.

1. If the Tasks or Notes are very long on the source computer, the one synced to the phone is shortened.
2. Not all content can be represented on the apps. For example, indented lists come over from the computer as plain text in the app.

Yes, I too would like the syncing of the Tasks to be a separate task from the whole Organiser.

hi...new here...just put on app yesterday...seems good...evaluating whether to use this and discontinue using deja office.

one thing i'd like...on notes...my outlook is arranged by category, for instance
-projects
-travel list
-future projects/bucket list
etc.
on the phone/app (mpe notes), it's just one big jumble. any plans to categorize so that users can see, as example, just the notes on the projects list instead of all of them?

Very impressed! A great enhancement would allow copying of data in the preview pane of the 'Phone' view - at the moment the preview pane is a bit unstable and difficult to hold on screen... it tends to disappear... Ideally the preview pane should stick open with one click and hold while focus is in the pane, then we should be able to highlight any displayed data, right click and copy, or even 'select all' then right click and copy.

Some of us have lots of data in the note field of the phone record, and need easy access and edit functions. The editable view of the note field is very small - could do with being at least 10-15 lines which would be much more convenient.

Any word on this? It's driving me insane. I can't use MPE to manage my contacts anymore because it is a mess now with all those email contacts.

Feature request: ability to select which gmail folders to sync. Right now MPE is sync'ing all contacts when my cellphone contacts are located in a gmail folder called "Android", so I have a lotta "contacts" that are mere email accounts listed in MPE, which is a pain in the xxx

It would be really great if MPE could copy data froma contcat in one account and paste it to another account.

Would be useful for migrating handsets to use just the Google account, or for fixing accidents when contacts have been created in the wrong (e.g. Phone) account.

It would be useful if we could export the Applications list, all columns, to CSV or Excel. Also, does the API retrieve infor re install to SD versus phone memory?

A filter-option by groups is basicly not a bad idea. But i have already a contact-account filter implemented and now a second split into groups ? Sounds complicated, even for the GUI. I'll wait a littlebit to see if there comes more requests in this topic

@multicalguy: 1b) For filetransfer its technically not possible (MPE uses old ANSI APIs for fileaccess on PC), for "Control phone" its also technically not possible but it should work in the Textinput-Feature

2b) Works already, just use Drag&Drop

3) sorry, i don't think this is needed. MyPhoneExplorer shows all data of the phone as fresh as possible, also in other parts

You say if you add the Outlook Addin you can dial the number directly. However all I can do with the addin is initiate the Syncs. Have I missed a part of the functionality?

Rightclick a Outlook-Contact and select "Call" or "Write message" in the contextmenu

Would be nice for telephone numbers to handle alpha characters. I have Outlook phone numbers with extensions entered as (248) 123-4567 x8910 - these still cause MPE to put a + in front & treat the number as a country code (Seychelles!).

My Outlook Tasks sometimes have more than 7000 characters.
Well, it's the Task Description field that have 7000 characters.
The Task title is usually less than 40 character.
(I use Tasks as ToDo lists, as most people do).

Do you mean the current behaviour is to display on top the task that will be important in 4 months, and you need to go over all tasks to find the task that happens today ?
There is probably an option somewhere to fix this.

I guess for the most people the order is right. It's just that I keep some old, uncompleted tasks merely for reference, and they always are on the top of the list, so J have to scroll down to look for the current ones.

On my phone, Tasks are in white letters on a black background. Can this be reversed?

I am using SE Xperia Arc.

Before I had updated to Android 2.3.4, I found that I was able to use Phone Keypad function with mouse and keyboard inputs from my PC. And I found it so useful! After the update, all the inputs do not work anymore, only the display works.

Is there any easy fix for this??

I do like to have that convenience back as I do a deskbound job.
