Hi,
I've installed MPE a one thing I've noticed is that exceptions to recurrent meetings get duplicated e.g. if I had a recurrent weekly meeting at 11:00 and moved it once to 12:00 then I now have two similar meetings in every week.
Any advise?
Thanks,
Beery
MPE 1.8.3, Sony Ericsson ARC, Lotus Notes 8.5.1
exceptions to recurrent meetings get duplicated
Samsung Galaxy S2 running Android 2.3.4
Outlook 2007
MPE 1.8.2 nightly 11/23
MPE client 1.0.15 beta 6
Problem - calendar events that are recurring but have exceptions. The phone calendar (but not the MPE desktop calendar) shows these recurring events on EVERY DAY on into the future. It seems to ignore the end date of the appointment as well as the day of the week. For example - I had an appointment set for 7pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and 2pm on Sunday last week. I set it in Outlook as a recurring appointment at 7pm for each day and then dragged the Sunday appointment to 2pm. Now it shows on my phone for every day into the future.
Is this an MPE problem or an Android calendar problem? Has anyone found a work-around, or experienced this with Android calendar but not other calendars on the phone?

@Beery: How is this event shown in the calendar of MyPhoneExplorer ?
By the way: MyPhoneExplorer does not support exceptions of ruled events in Lotus Notes

FJ - Thanks.
Just to make sure that we are talking on the same thing (as I saw few misunderstandings elsewhere):
Lotus Notes has an option for Custom occurrence (you pick specific dates) -This is something I rarely use (actually, never used it in the past
)
What I often come across (almost every week actually) is when I'm invited to a meeting say every Monday 14:30. And then in a specific week, this meeting has to start at 15:00. These kind of exceptions are what seems to currently confuse MPE. Until it is addressed I won't be using MPE to sync calendars as I can't trust what I see in the device calendar.

Yes, we are talking abou the same thing. Lotus Notes has a really trick database format which is very hard to understand and to debug - this is the main problem
