All of a sudden I can't connect to my phone via WiFi
Well... my problem remains. I start the client on the phone (see the gray icon), then I start MPE, then I try to sync and get the error that a connection with the IP address is not possible.
Trying a bit more I find that I am able to connect when I start some app that uses the network connection. It seems that, although the WiFi symbol is visible, the network layer on the phone is somehow dormant. The MPE client does not wake it. As soon as I start something like whatsapp the MPE client can be reached as well.
Does this help? Are there logs for MPE client that I can harvest and send you?
*edit*
OK, while syncing the connection got lost. Although the MPE client was still showing the arrows circling, MPE complained. Unable to make a connection. Starting some other network using app made the error change: now the phone identity could not be read.
Stop/start the MPE client and the sync continued where it left off. After syncing the client remained "connected" although MPE finished and was even closed. Restarting MPE gave the 'identity error'.
PS: found a new translation error - so I dived in Nederlands.lng and found some others. I have a new, corrected version but am unable to upload it. @FJ: where can I put it so you can use it?
Regards,
Frank

Both errors, this:
and this
are typically for Firewall problems, but in this case it should work never and not sometimes. You did already restart your WiFi Router right ?
Cause the language errors: I gave my dutch translator your email-address, i think he will contact you. Install the current beta in order you have the same fresh file on your PC: http://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplo ... Update.exe

It isn't the firewall nor the WiFi router (that is transparent). I did reset the router (also for other reasons) but that does not solve the problem. Starting something on the phone that uses Internet does solve it though...

problems with WIFI
Are any of you guys that are having issues have Juice Defender Loaded by chance? Juice Defender is an Enable/disable battery conservation that works and will disable wifi, bluetooth, etc to conserve battery when not being used and it will not reactivate unless you have a rull exception to turn it on and off.
I have same issue
I have this same issue. MPE worked fine then started to fail some of the time and now I can not connect at all. I have tried WiFi, USB, and entering the ip address. I get the same message about not being able to connect to the phone.

@Frank: If it works after the phone needs data from the network then it must be a limitation of the phone. The phone disconnects from the router (even if the WiFi Icon is on)
@Garry: Post the logfile after the connection failed via USB

I am having the same problem. My previous phone was an HTC Sensation 4G. I will be using a Samsung GS3. The 10061 problem is the same on both whether I use WiFi or USB.
Any help would be appreciated. I cannot use my new phone until the contacts are on it.

Restart your PC and WiFi Router, ensure that MyPhoneExplorer Client is launched on the phone and if you still have no success then enter the WiFi IP of the phone in the setting "Fixed IP" of MyPhoneExplorer. If you are not able to fix the issue then post the logfile after the error message
