Photo Section
Outstanding program thank you.
It would be nice to have a Photo section in the main list under contacts, calls, organizer, messages ,and files.
This would allow to to see photos, edit, save, and delete
Thank you for your time and consideration

Sync all Call History
Request ability to sync all Call History.
Currently it is only syncing the past 2 months for me (2012). I have 14 months on my phone and none of 2011 is syncing.

I use a specific Outlook category (called 'On Mobile') for contacts I want to included on my (android) phone. If I set this on for a contact in Outlook, MyPhoneExplorer correctly adds it to my phone. If I reset this category for a contact in Outlook, MyPhoneExplorer does not delete it from the phone. This means the contacts are not synchronised properly based on the Outlook category.
Could the ability to delete entries on the phone if not in the selected Outlook category be added?

The software is already capable of handling the phone via WiFi.
Dear FJ
Now, I am using an Xperia S and suddenly the touch inputs are working again on "Phone Keypad" window! I posted earlier that it did not work anymore after my Xperia Arc was updated to its latest OS update.
However, during syncing with MPE, the calendar does not sync anymore saying that there is no calendar in the phone. BTW, I'm still using the released version of MPE 1.8.2. Maybe it works on your latest beta, I'm not sure.
Anyway, keep up the great work! I love MPE!
Thanks.

AFAIK, seeing the screen of your phone on your pc and click on it for example, is not possible through wifi... But maybe it is my phone? I have the Samsung Galaxy Ace.

That's not what MyPhoneExplorer does. It sounds like you are looking for a program like Webkey by Péter Móra and Zoltán Papp (I am not associated with them in any way, but I have used the app) . It lets you control your phone from a PC or other device over WiFi. It shows the phone's screen and is interactive. It does require that you have root access to your phone however.
You can find it in Google Play (the new app market) here:

Some wished improvment
Some wished improvment
- Sync pictures & attached doc with calendar/notes/Tasks
- Add an option to sync with integrated Task manager, not add PME one
- Detect contact picture change in Outlook
- Some kind of planar to start the sync every ... (15min or so)
Probably theese wishes are linked to the Android customisation, nevertheless I am really intersted in.
Best regards

There seems to be missing the 'Nickname' field in the My Phone Explorer desktop software.
Both Outlook 2010 and my phone's contact client do support a 'nickname' field.
Is there anyway you could add that field so the data will be transferred between the two?
I'm very please that the 'birthday' field was included and works properly.
So the 'nickname' field shouldn't be too much of a effort to add?
Ok, I don't really know how hard it would be to add the extra field!
I was just looking on the positive side!
Thank you for your consideration.
Rob
PS The reason I use the nickname, is because it's easy to find a favorite person without having to type their full name, the nickname brings up their record very easily, without all that typing.
Thanks again!

Thanks and feature request (trying again)
Thanks for this app. It does a great job of providing me just what I was looking for in the way of a phone book and calendar. I specifically did not want to sync my phone information with Outlook but wanted a separate desktop application for that.
Tasks was a great addition (a while back) but I wonder [FEATURE REQUEST] if you could include a toggle setting that allows the user to "see/NOT see" completed tasks on the desk top or on the phone?
Thank you again.

a few minor requests
Imported 3852 address entries from Thunderbird / Lightning. MyPhoneExplorer, via USB, handled this w/o a problem. It took a while, ~28 minutes, but since it was only once, who cares? By far the most important was it did what it was told to do, w/o a problem. ^5 FJ! (Does that translate to Deutsche?)
Contacts are listed as Phone & Google. I don't use Google. Further, all the Google contacts appear to be just email addresses. Is there a way to get rid of that list, or at least rename it?
The size of the app interface always returns to the small default size & never remembers what I have done. Is there a way to get it to remember the last setting?
The bright blue in calendar is garish. Is it possible to change that color to something more subdued?
Thank you for a much needed product!

sms
Hi
Here are two very useful things to have:
- tagging all sent sms' if they were sent successfully or not. (Delivery Report) With time of delivery if possible. There is nice window for all message details, so why not to add this useful thing...
- providing "SYNC messages" instead of DOWNLOAD. Many times this download command generates some already deleted messages if I make some drastic changes in my Inbox (i.e deleting all my messages). I suppose "sync" command would make all the changes identical on both sides, regardless if they were made on phone or MPE.

Just tested MPE with my new Android device via bluetooth
Have some notes and wishes:
1) MS BT stack on WinXP SP2, after pairing the device with PC, no BT COM port appeared, I had to add it manually via Bluetooth device properties > Services > Add > "MPE something" (MPE client was active on the phone). Don't know whether that was occasional bug or something reproducible.
2) After downloading all the stuff from the phone (contacts, SMS, ...), the contacts' numbers in the SMS list hasn't been replaced by names - restart of MPE required to pick names up.
3) The folder/file list view lacks item ".." aka "go up". It has importance without folder tree view though.
4) Font of the SMS in the text field can be altered with ctrl+mouse wheel but is not saved. On PC with 120% DPI it is too large.
5) Is there a way of adding birthdays to calendar in batch mode? Moreover, it would be cool if additional options were supported like start time, duration, etc. Because when you add contact's birth date on SE phone, birthday event is added with default options only - and the option is alarm at 9:00 what is too early
. I' like to have a tool to edit multiple alarms at one time and assign to them, for example, another start time. The same with adding birthdays from MPE. Now I have no alarms in calendar at all so batch adding of birthday alarms would be great.
P.S. Thanks for Droid support! As fas as I see, MPE is VERY popular for Droid devices, in fact it is the first-to-recommend software when starting using this OS.
