Cannot sync Outlook 2010 Calendar with Android ICS version

Beitrag von Uncle Bob »

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia arc that always synced without any problems. I have now upgraded to ICS Android version. Now when syncing, the calendar does not sync. I get error message "OBEX Errorcode: D0 - Internal Server Error"

It is the stock calendar on the phone. With the previous versions of Android the calendar synced without any problems.

All other items sync OK, just not calendar :(

Nevermind, I fixed it. I have just manually upgraded the client with the latest one from the Android Market - version 1.0.17 and now the calendar sync fine.

The client I had on was the original one (v1.0.14) installed by the MPE application on my PC and this one caused the problem.

I have a calendar sync issue as well. The contacts and tasks synchronize perfectly.

MPE goes through all the motions and appears to sync (force Outlook to phone) the calendar, but the items never show up on the phone.

How did you get the Android ICS calendar app to add the Outlook calendar? My only choices are Google and Exchange. Do you have a non-standard calendar app?

I'm running ICS 4.04 on a Galaxy S and Windows 7 on a PC with the latest MPE version.

MPE worked perfectly before upgrading to ICS.

MPE worked perfectly before upgrading to ICS.
I also had that same problem but I figured it out eventually. I use the standard calendar that comes with ICS.

Open the calendar and select the Menu. The options will then pop up indicating 1 day, 7 week, New event, today, My calendars and More.

Select My Calendars and it will then list a few calendars. under default account, your gmail email address, Gmail Calendar and Weather.

Under Default account you want to look at Phone Calendar and then you tap it until it shows the options "synced, visible"

All the other calendars where there is options, you tap them until they show "not synced, not visible" That was all there was to it.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately the only calendar listed is Gmail which I don't use. If I try to add a calendar the only choices I have are for Google and Corporate (Exchange). Neither of those will sync with Outlook.

Mmmmm, I'm at a loss here. Right at the top of the screen it should say Default account. Does it not expand when you tap on "Default account"?
When I tap on it on my phone it then expands and shows "Phone Calendar"

When I open the app and menu, my choices are New event, Refresh, Search, Calendars to display and Settings.
Calendars to display is empty with a calendars to sync button. Tapping the button shows only the Gmail account and gives me to opportunity to sync it.
The settings menu gives me the opportunity to add an account - Gmail or Exchange only along with General settings and settings for the Gmail account.

The Calendar app version is 4.0.4. I got the same results with 4.0.3.

The only reason there is a Gmail account is because it is required by the Android OS. It is not used.

If your phone does not provide a local calendar like "MyCalendar" on Samsung then you have to use the Google calendar

Where can I find a Samsung MyCalendar app that works with ICS?
Please post a link.

The MyCalendar apk I have from Android 2.3 won't install on Android 4.0.
I've searched the market and the Samsung site without finding the app.
It must be out there because Samsung has released several 4.0 devices.

My phone is an AT&T Galaxy S (SGH-I897) with Android 4.04.

I'm not sure what you mean.
I installed an Android 4.04 ROM that was not released by Samsung.
AFAIK Samsung is not offering an ICS upgrade for the Galaxy S (SGH-I897).
I was previously running a custom Gingerbread ROM that worked well with MPE. I was able to sync the Outlook 2010 functions - calendar, contacts and tasks.

OK, then you will not get the MyCalendar back. Its a inbuild feature of original Samsung Firmwares
