My problem is that my phone (Xperia X8 ) and my OS (Win7 Home premium) say the phone is connected via USB.
But Myphoneexplorer Say there's no phone connected via USB.
Yes, I have tried to restart both the PC and the phone and I have removed the battery from the phone.
I have also manualy started the Myphoneexplorer klient on the phone but nothing seem to make the software find the phone.
So does anyone know what I shall do to fix the problem?

Did you follow these instructions in the "How To...",
specially did you turn on USB debugging and are the USB/ADB-drivers installed for your device?
kind regards...

Ok, so let's check some things:
- Do you see your device without any warnings in Windows' device manager
(Android USB Devices) when it's connected to USB?
- Do you have a personal firewall and did you try to deactivate it just for test?
(Disconnect your PC from internet before disabling firewall)
If MPE will connect without firewall you have to create an exception for MPE.
- Normally, when connection is USB, client on phone should start automatic.
Can you see the client icon on your phone in status bar? If not, try to start manually.
- Did you try to use different USB ports on your machine (not on an USB hub)?
kind regards...

I have the same problem from time to time, but if I restart my computer, then it works again. Sometimes I even have to restart my phone.

After scratching my hair an Calling my phone and PC all kind of bad names I decided to re- Install the PC Companion, And that solved the problem.
Thanx for all your help guys if I did'nt try all the things you asked to do I had probably thrown the PC out the window.
