1.8.4 closed by itself during sync or at start of setting

Hi experts, I am a new user of MPE. I have about 8000 contacts in my Outlook 2007 running on Windows XP SP2, and really look forward to using MyPhoneExplorer to sync with my Xperia Play K800i, without having to go thru the cloud.

After installing 1.8.4 on PC and my Android phone, the two were able to connect via wifi. However there were two problems:

1. during sync, the MPE managed to syn the contacts originated from phone (not from outlook) and calendar originated from phone, but halfway before sync completes, the MPE closed by itself.

2. When I reinstall MPE, without connecting to wifi and without doing a sync to crash the app, when I just click MPE's File>Setting, MPE tried opening the settings window halfway and then closed by itself.

MyPhoneExplorer does not work correctly in a DBCS environment which is the case for china, tailand, korea,...

You can disable DBCS on your PC by selecting the english system charset. But this can make problems with other software. I know its a bad issue, but its not fixable - sorry.

Your software has great features. While it may involve some changes in software, there are many Android users in Asia that can use your application if DBCS is enabled. Is it possible that you consider making a DBCS release in future, perhaps in 1.8.5 : )
