I wish there was an function for entering digits via the keyboard even during the call.
I use the "Control Phone" feature too works a treat.

[quote="FJ"]@Capt sensible: As i said, use the task sheduler as trigger. Enter taskschd.msc in Start->Run. You should also add flags=noerrmsg to the commandline so the error message will be shown as balloon message

Yes, this method works well BUT if the phone is not connected then an error is generated. So, can either; a) don't sync if no phone or b) an option to have a 'silent' warning on failed sync's, ie perhaps a flashing tray icon?

Outlook allows the use of non-Gregorian calendar (such as Hebrew Lunar calendar) in its recurrence events in addition to Gregorian calendar.
You can have events (gregorian and Hebrew lunar) in same calendar.
I would love to have that option in MPE PC side and more important to have it sync correctly to the android as well.
Current situation where in Outlook events are correct and in MPE such events appears in totally wrong dates is not acceptable !
hope this will be fixed soon

BTW:
Adding the Hebrew Lunar calendar will probably open the road for you to add all kinds of calendars such as Chinese, Arabic etc.
and will help MPE spread to many users around the globe !

Ok, I believe I can pin point the problems with MPE and the sync issues that I have found:
MPE v1.84 on Win7 x64
MPE APK v1.0.21 on HTC Sensation ICS v4.0.3 Sense v4.0, rooted
1. Jewish holiday inserted through Outlook tool (tools->options->calendar options->add holidays)
are correctly synced to MPE and seen correctly on MPE PC side, but on the android AGENDA screen it is missing the subject field which is EMPTY.
In day screen it is OK
2. Multiple events in the same date are synced correctly to MPE, but on Android agenda screen, none or only one of the multiple events has a title, the rest has empty title while on the day screen it is OK.
Both 1 and 2 show there is a bug with the Agenda title display.
3. This is the most annoying and disturbing bug.
Recurrence events made in outlook according to NON-Gregorian calendar (in my case Hebrew lunar) are synced to MPE (both PC and android)
to a WRONG date !
I hope this helps you fix it and do hope you’ll reply and add your comments to the above.
Thanks a lot. Your app is essential to many and fixing those issues will allow many more to use it.
Control phone is a nice idea but for me it too often fails with "FrameBufferData missing (0 Bytes received)".
Presently I use WebKey instead, working over the Inter/Intranet via WiFi, BlueTooth or mobile data. I wish MPE control phone was a bit more flexible too, working over WiFi or Bluetooth...
Rationale: when my Defy is plugged into most PC's USB port it will not charge, common problem, so it's better if it's plugged to the OEM charger and left to communicate wirelessly.

I have a lot of problems trying to transfer large files from PC to phone. It doesn't matter whether I use USB, WiFi, or Bluetooth, none is reliable for files of a few hundred MB to a GB or more. Usual error is "OBEX Errorcode: 00 - Phone didn't answer, Timeout". I had similar issues with K800i and X10 Mini Pro, and now I have this problem with my Defy (same on stock ROM and CM7/9/10), using from three different PCs. Is it just me has this issue?
Either way, it would be brilliant if MPE could keep track of transfer progress and provide manual or automatic pause/resume features...
Even if large file transfer works well for some people, this feature could allow all users to pause, disconnect and carry on later when more convenient, without having to start all over again.
@Starb7: append flags=noerrmsg to the commandline
@john: Sorry, i will not add new calendar scales. Its really alot of work for a few users - you are the first one who asks for this
@bbstrikesagain: For both problems: please go back to Version 1.8.2 and test. It seems these problems happen more often than earlier but i am not sure (and for me these problems never happened. murphys law)

Fantastic software. I've been looking for an app that can manage my android phone on my desktop, and this is perfect!
My wish is to be able to dial during a call, for example, i call a bank and they have an automated system like 'press 1 for a account, 2 for balance, 3 for tech support etc'
Maybe i'm missing something, because i can't seem to find the 'dial any number' option without pressing the short-cut 'Ctrl-F6'. This brings up the "Dial Number" dialog, i enter the number, click 'call, then i can't enter anymore after that when i'ts in a call.
Am i missing something? Or is this feature not implemented?
I like the graphing option, but want more of it. Currently you can only graph 30-40 minutes at a time. I would like to have the program generate a continuous csv file for all the graphed items whenever the phone is plugged in.
I can then do things like average signal strength over a weeks time a various locations. Monitor battery health by seeing how long it takes to charge each percentage.
I have an automated sync almost perfectly set up. Using Tasker I check for when I connect my Atrix to A/C, which means I'm at my desk (at least usually if my phone is there). In this state it check if the time is between 9 am and 11 pm and, if so, starts the MPE client every 16 minutes (so it's almost always running), as well as turning on WiFi. In Windows Scheduler I have MPE set to run every two hours between 9:30 am and 11:30 pm. I have set MPE Windows to run minimized so it doesn't display its screen while syncing and interrupt me.
This would be perfect except for two things:
1) Every two hours I see three connection windows for about five seconds each, one after the other, as MPE Windows searches for the phone. This interrupts me and, if I'm typing, characters get lost until these three windows disappear if the phone is not on A/C.
2) Although I've set all the Outlook, etc syncs to not ask for permission to make changes, the several folder syncs I've defined to transfer phone pictures to my PC & delete from phone; copy PC pictures to phone; documents to phone, etc, I always have to Select All to permit MPE to deleted the phone files that I've either moved, or deleted, on my PC. This is why I restrict the sync to when I'm at my PC.
I trust MPE and wish there was a silent mode (defined for each folder sync job) to prevent the interruptions and not display the connection attemp windows. If that was the case I could allow the syncs to occur regardless if I was at my desk because I wouldn't have to approve any deletions and just a WiFi connection would allow a sync.
That would be my perfect world with MPE. I don't think this would require a complete rewrite of MPE's logic to allow for a fully unattended sync with no interruptions.
This is an excellent app and I blow people's minds when I describe to them how I can sync my phone by just coming home and making a WiFi connection, and define so precisely what gets copied from and to the phone.
This is an excellent software. It would be great if uder the "file scripts sync" option we could dress-up a list of files and folders to sync. Some sort of Treeview with checkbox. This would easily allow music, video et pictures sync, just like a playlist, videolist, picturelist or a filelist.
I have a wish that you do not quit developing this marvels piece of art!
I keep using SE phones just because MPE.
And one suggestion.... Try to make a note at sent SMS if message was delivered successfully or not (time and date of delivery). That would be neat to have. If possible.
Your new layout for editing box for contacts in more convenient indeed.
"Info" box is on it's own, giving more space to type or read.
It would be even more convenient if you would put some kind of mark if "info" box is filled or not. Because it is hidden. For example, if you make "Info" letters BOLD if box is filled, then you would know there is something without opening it to check it. And if letters are normal, you know it is empty.
Not a big deal, just a suggestion...
Stay well!
