Phone could not be identified

I love the idea of myphone explorer, but can't get it to recognize my phone. I've tried several times over bluetooth and over usb. It starts loading and then I get a message "phone cannot be identified" or, over usb, "phone is not connected" - even though it definitely is. The log file is attached. I'd be grateful for any assistance.
