I have a Galaxy Note 2
I can explore it via an Usb connection and the classical W7 explorer
But from "Myphone Ecxplorer" I have a message "USB connection non detected"
Can You Help ?
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII phone, and I would like to connect it to my desktop PC (Windows XP) or to my netbook (Windows 7) through USB.
I did everything I found in this forum and in many other forums, I updated all softwares involved (Kies, drivers, ...): no result ! Through Kies I fixed USB connexion : no result !
Is there ONE solution to this problem ?
It seems that many (if not all) people have the same problem ...
Hopefully, everything is OK through WiFi with MyPhoneExplorer.
But I would like to simply connect USB (without having to start WiFi) and at the same time charge the battery.
I always connect my SIII phone to an USB connector of the front face of my desktop PC tower, it is directly connected to an USB connector of the motherboard.
When my phone is connected, the USB connection is randomly available: it works from time to time, then it is closed for appearing available a few seconds later. When OK, the unit GT-I9300 appears in the Windows explorer.
I tried to use PTP connection (camera) and MTP connection (multimedia) in the SIII phone, the problem is the same.
When OK, I can transfer files from SIII to PC or from PC to SIII.
In the phone, MyPhoneExplorer client always detects the USB cable connection.
With Kies in the PC I can't do anything: it is impossible to get an USB connection or a WiFi connection.
With Kies Air in the phone and the browser in the PC (Firefox) it is OK, except that the transfer of photos and videos is difficult and heavy (files are not sorted .…).
@Papipio: As Mr. Deaville said: Use another USB-Port
@renautm: Please post the logfile after the error message appeared.

I tried a connection to an USB port at the rear face of my desktop PC tower, I tried a connection to the USB port available from the flash card reader: always the same problem.
I tried a connection to 2 different USB ports of my Windows 7 netbook: always the same problem, the result is random.
My SIII is the only one of the many devices I use which I can't connect to an USB port ...
I think it could not be the only problem here.
On my Galaxy Nexus, there's also no Mass Storage Protocol, but it's no
problem to connect to MPE via USB in MTP mode (PTP mode is not working).
Similar problem. Phone (LG P999) USB not detected when I try to connect. This connection has been working fine for a year. If I unplug the phone with MPE running and replug it I get a popup in the systray that MPE detected a USB phone. Then when I try to connect in the program it says no USB device detected. If I enable USB storage I can use the drives on the phone no problem. WiFi connection works fine. Tried several ports & different cables. THIS WAS WORKING FINE! So now do I uninstall MPE from the windows computer and reinstall, or do I uninstall the client on the phone side and reinstall, or both, or neither???
Its always the same for the USB-Connection:
- check if "USB-Debugging" is enabled on the phone
- ensure that the ADB-Drivers are installed correctly (take a look at the device manager)

Recently purchased Galaxy S3. Get the above error when I try to add a user for this new phone.
Old phone works fine using same plug/cable/etc, connects to MPE just fine.
Instructions indicate:
1. USB Debugging on: It is
2. USB Charging Mode only: Can't find this setting anywhere, I think I've been all the way through all the settings. Each time I connect the USB cable I see "Connected as Media Device" on the phone.
3. ADB drivers: Installed on the computer & working (otherwise the old phone wouldn't work either).
Drag down from the notification bar gives the option for
1. Media Device (MTP)
2. Camera (PTP)
Doesn't seem to be an option for charge only anywhere there either.
Even when I would run ADB DEVICES, I'd get no connected devices.
My phone was showing up in Device Manager, and per instructions I found here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6469 ... d-my-phone,
I uninstalled the driver from device manager, reinstalled the driver for my phone...and NOW it connects...and shows up in ADB DEVICES
