MPE profile trasnfer

Hello.
I want to ask:
how to copy user profiles with phonebook , sms and ect. of MPE to another computer? Can you do some kind of portable programm so that can be stored on FLASH or can be copied to another PC ? :roll:

You could simply copy the folder %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer but this is not recommened if you sync your data f.e. with Outlook.

Besides this the only part which is needed to transfer is the SMS-Archive, the rest is already stored on the phone and so it gets refreshed on the second PC. To move the SMS-Archive you can use the backup wizzard in Menu-Extras

i don't use Outlook, only local storage of MPE. And I had change two things ^ PC and Sony Xperia... :roll:

OK, then open the old profile (even if the phone not present). Click on Menu-Extras-Create backup. A error message will appear, click OK and MyPhoneExplorer will create a backup of the data in this profile. Then on the new phone restore the backup

can i make an empty profile on the new PC, and then restore backup to it ?
it will grate, coz i have a new PC without any phone profile and have a backup from my xperia V made with another PC, but phone itself now in service and i can't see my phonebook

Its not a recommended solution but you can create a dummy profile. Just create a new folder inside the database folder of MyPhoneExplorer with the name "Dummy [000000000000000]". Always copy all files inside a profile, never the Phonebook.dat alone

i'm make a dummy folder well, but program don't want to restore from backup. it's try to find and connect phone and when don't find it, report that it's can't restore coz can't find phone...

How to read backup file without phone? :oops:

Instead of restoring your backup you can go into contact list, right click there and select "Export/Import > Import" from context menu.
Now select the backupfile you have.
