I got a new laptop with Windows 7 (64-bit).
I transferred my files from old laptop (Vista) and installed MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.4. It is working fine and has all my archive & data.
I have problem with installing drivers.
I tried installing the original software from the CD that came with K750i but it won't install.
I tried allowing the Windows 7 to find the drivers on the CD but no luck.
I manually tried to update the driver:
Computer > Manage > Device Manager > Other devices > Sony Ericsson K750 (The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28 )) > Update Driver Software > point to the CD ... but it did not find the drivers
I tried searching sonyericsson site but it doesn't list any drivers for K750i
Hi. I'd like to suggest one solution. I'm guessing that you're using USB cable to connect. If yes, then you should enable downloading drivers from Windows Update.
In case you don't know how to do this:
Open Start menu, right click "computer", click "properties" (or you could open control panel and in "all control panel items" click "system"). There in the upper left column click "advanced system settings" or "remote settings" (it makes no difference which one you click - they're not what you need) and then go to hardware tab, Click "device installation settings" and then if it's not already chosen, choose the first button which should read "yes - do this automatically (recommended)".
Then connect your phone to your laptop with a USB cable. Windows update will search and install appropriate drivers for your phone.
The reason I know this could work is that I reinstalled windows about a week ago and I had this setting on by default (so every time I connected a new device it started downloading drivers from the internet), and when I connected my w700i (which is, by the way, very similar to k750i in terms of functionality) for the first time windows automatically downloaded and installed drivers for it, so I had no problems connecting my phone to my laptop.
P.S. Sorry if I've included too much useless info, I just tried to make sure everything is as clear as possible.
