maybe it's possible to save mms message to a flash file or something or make something like virtual phone and when I use "forward" function in my phone it will be send to myphoneexplorer and saved as backup
or maybe it could be saved to an internet service somehow and restored online ?

MyPhonExplorer is not fully unicode compatible (and its also not planned for future). You can write speial characters if you have set the correct system-charset

I would really like to be able to choose if a two separate phones should result in two different users that don't share anything. At least I should be able to sync two users in the program without syncing to another service. Since you're not able to sync tasks and notes to google, at least you should be able to transfer them locally.

Its already possible. For every phone MyPhoneExplorer creates a blank user-profile

I do not recall being given any choice to not set up two users. I want all the same data on both phones 100%.

To clarify. I wish the program would NOT set up a blank user for every phone. I want one single user for any and all phone I connect. I would like the possibility to completely disable any functionality that separates different phones data.

Well there in lies the problem. I can't sync notes at all as far as I know and as I read earlier tasks don't sync with google because of missing API's or something.

It's really down to this: I hate outlook and sony ericssons pc-suite, but right now it looks like I have to use them anyway just to migrate all of my data to my new phone. To get rid of those two is why I started using your excellent software in the first place. No chance of at least being able to seamlessly transfer notes and task?

For tasks and calendar you can also use Thunderbird. For Notes-Sync i added "Windows Sticky Notes" in the next version. But this is only avaiable in Win7

Yup, sticky notes are i win 7. So thunderbird is the way to go? How about just sunbird? I don't use desktop based email at all so the whole thunderbird thing seems a bit redundant, but if that's what works it's ok.

well i think it would be useful, think of having a new phone in which you want to put numbers in order, having them in wrong cells means you have to copy them one by one or export to excel, change rows and them import them again(not easy for all users). doing that from your program would be much easier for all users!

Several ideas for managing SMS items:

I would love to see:

- "export and delete" function for SMS messages.
- SMS Default Export file name include seconds. For example, SMS Export "2 8 2010 21 31.sms" might be "SMS Export 2 8 2010 21 31 23.sms" to avoid having the overwrite dialog so often.
- an option on the SMS Export overwrite dialog to "append to this export file".
- option to save Sent messages in the Archive folder if the message is a reply to a message in Archive folder.

Hi, I am running Win 7 x64 Pro with MPE 1.7.5 but under the Notes sync I am not able to select Sticky Notes.

Am I missing something? Or do I have to sync with sticky notes in some different way?

Sorry if someone else has already requested this feature but there is one thing that MPE should have

Very useful feature would be automatically changing (converting) text in SMS editor from Unicode mode to standard. When using MPE I often paste text into sms editor (for example from Wikipedia) but there are many polish letters in such text and it automatically sets the Unicode mode. We in Poland pay more for Unicode messages so an option (a button maybe?) for coverting text (like ę -> e or ś -> s) would be great and very useful and would let me use MPE more often

Now I have to seek for every polish letter and manually change it to standard which takes a lot of time. That option would also be useful for other languages (like german ö -> oe)

Is it possible to implement a function like that?

That would be great because in Poland unicode messages are 3 times more expensive than normal and still we can send only 70 chars per message :/

I know it's difficult to make because you have to know special characters from many languages but I can help with polish letters

Its not difficult to make. The question is how i will integrate it into the GUI.
MPE could detect if its possible to convert the text while typing. But i don't think its a good choice to make this conversation automatical. I thought about a new Toolbarbutton in Toolbar (if MPE detects Unicode and its possible to convert all chars). If you press this button then MPE would convert all chars in the textfield - but you have to press this button before sending. Would this be a good solution ? Do you have a better idea ?
