That is exactly the way I thought it would look like - just a button (on the far right of the sms editor for example - there is lot of space there) which converts the current text into the standard text mode
On option like that would be great

Wishlist - repost - whoops I put it in the wrong section

Awesome program - I'm actually going to make a donation because it's so fantastic.
My only wish list features are:
- conversation-style view in SMSes (i.e. view sent and received items in-line for a given contact)
- date on SMSes in sent items retained
- backup of MMSes (I believe this is a problem with the Sony API)
Great work!
Thanks,
Tim

See the FAQ. Sent date/time is not available via the protocol. Yes it would be nice but it is not possible to obtain from the phone.

This is also the reason why i cannot make a conversation-style.
And until now there is no API to access MMS on the phone.

Thanks for the quick reply - that makes sense!
Who do we email at SE to get them to try and fix this?
Maybe if there are enough letters complaining they will add it?
Also, this is more an issue I think than a feature request but in the latest version Cut and Paste is broken in SMS composition.
When replying to a message in the inbox, I press Ctrl+X to cut the selection but when I Ctrl+V, it doesn't paste what I cut. Ctrl+C works as expected.
Weird! Is anyone else having this problem?

Maybe you use this link:

CTRL+V works flawlessly on my PC but i saw that CTRL+X does NOT work as expected. The content is cut but not copied into clipboard. I'll fix this

Hi, I am running Win 7 x64 Pro with MPE 1.7.5 but under the Notes sync I am not able to select Sticky Notes.
Am I missing something? Or do I have to sync with sticky notes in some different way?
Thanks.
Hello,
I have the exact same problem, runing W7 64bits, am I missing something ? or Sticky notes are not yet supported under 64bits ? Everything else works as expected, no problem at all.
Thank you

Please tell me if there is a file called "StikyNot.exe" on your PC and on which path it can be found.

StikyNot sync also not showing up on my pc.
on my Win7 64bit, StikyNot.exe is found here:
C:\Windows\System32\StikyNot.exe
external archives

i know that the archives folder cannot have too many messages otherwise i would experience problems or slow performance, so what i do is I save my archives.dat folder every year. Nice feature would be to be able to create a sub archive that links to an external file, this way, if i need to view messages of past years, i can just click down the tree and it would read the other external archives.
Ex: (under the Messages section)
Inbox
Drafts
Sent Items
Saved items
Archive
Current (current archive)
2009 (linked to 2009-archive.dat)
2008 (linked to 2008-archive.dat)
external archives

should be indented
Ex: (under the Messages section)
Inbox
Drafts
Sent Items
Saved items
Archive
-----Current (current archive)
-----2009 (linked to 2009-archive.dat)
-----2008 (linked to 2008-archive.dat)

@Don: Its a interesting idea - the question is if a year-split would fix the problem. There are enought users which write a hugh amount of messages also in less than one year. The second problem is that MPE is still not able to read out the date of sent messages. For the duplicate-check it would be needed to load all messages (duplicates are checked everytime you copy messages into the archive)
@Snowbird: The path is correct. Do you see "StickyNotes" in the settingswindow or is it missing there ?

It's missing in the drop down menu, if you need a screenshot i can upload it somewhere.
Thanks for your help.

OK, please download the
current beta
Open the settingswindow and then post the logfile
in a new thread cause this has nothing to do with wishes and feature requests.

Unfortunately I do not have time to register for a full account right now to post my log from the latest beta in a new topic, but a very quick search through it shows this:
Code: Alles auswählen
11:47:35.02 StickyNotesPath=C:\Windows\system32\StikyNot.exe FileExists=False
The file does exist though.
I'll try and post my logfile later.
Thanks.
