Hi there again FJ. I was wondering if this would change in 1.7.5 but sadly it didn't, so i think none had posted that before.

I'm frequently working in spreadsheets, or even if not, MPE often checks my clipboard for a phone number. Whereas this could be useful, could you please add an option to configuration to turn off this slightly annoying popup window?

This wouldn't be such a pain, but excel in winxp, uses clipboard as a temporary storage when moving coping or whatever operation with cell, ie with date, and mpe wants me to add this as a phone no

This is an additional feature which is turned off by default. You can turn it off in the settings. Its called "Show dialwindow automatically"

i did tried that you must have misunderstood me.
Lets enumerate popup features:)
a) "popup when new call is made/received"
b) "popup when new number is stored in clipboard" -and thats the one,which pops like this:

Maybe. Setting b) should control exactly this behavior. If its not selected the the window will NOT appear when a number-like string is copied into clipboard.

Yup, problem solved. Don't know why didn't work last time i checked, but works now thx!

In Phone Keypad its possible to make a snapshot of the phones screen, is it possible to have tilt to lying down.

Now I have to save picture or tilt computer screen

This is my wish. Is there a chance to block a sms from a certain number? could it be done with an applet or something like that? Thanx FJ

It would be possible to delete the message automatically but cause of the fact that the phone is not connected to MPE the whole day this is not a good solution.

I have two wishes:
1. Option to hide the multi-synch window.
2. I'm using Thunderbird, Google Calendar and MPE. It would be nice if MPE could do periodic multi-sync (or some light variant of the multi-sync) since I'm too lazy to do a manual multi-synch when I update my calendar in Thunderbird... Maybe it could check the google calendar every minute or so for changes and only sync when needed.

If this has been requested before the just ignore it, I did not have time to read through 74 pages of wishes

Ok here's my suggestions

1
if we send a message to more than 1 person and select the option "Save succesful deliveries in sent item"
the sms gets save in the phone's sent item.
BUT it only shows thats it has been sent to only 1 person , irrespective of the number of persons selected. i.e
if we select 5 persons and send them a sms, in phone sent item it will only show that it has been sent to only 1 person!
so if u can make appear all the names of persons in sent items in next release .

if we send the sms using delivery report on and also tick the save send message check box.
the message gets saved it the phone.
THe delivery reports only come up as a popup in computer But the delivery report confirmation is not saved in the phone's sent item!
so if u can do smethin in this part it'll b great!

The phone keypad under MPE is best thing i love. when we write sms using phone keypad it displays You can now use ur pc keyboard to write text on ur phone which is the best part.
BUT it doesnot show in our pc screen what we are writting.!
so if a small text area appears where we can see what we are writing will be appricable !

1) Often discussed. Its not possible to set more recipients to a saved message. the only way would be to save a copy of the sms for each rcipient. In my opinion this is not a solution

2) Also often discussed - technically not possible

3) Also problematic. Theoretically i could show the typed characters, but its not possible to determinate the caret-position of the phone so it does not work as soon as the user types an arrow-key or the backspace-key

I know that the phone can't communicate SMS sent time to MPE - a very old chestnut. But now I have an idea...

I use MPE on more than one computer. It is much easier to write SMS on a computer, so most SMS are written on PCs using MPE. I use three different PCs depending where I am. The MPE SMS sent date/time are only available on a PC for messages sent from that PC.

Here's the idea: could MPE maintain a separate file, synchronised to the phone's memory, which maintains the date and time of messages sent by MPE?? Then, after messages sync, any MPE installation would show the sent times for any messages sent by any other copy of MPE on any PC...

Of course, messages sent by the phone itself would still have no date/time in MPE - unless the user entered it manually in MPE, in which case it could be recorded in the sync file...

I think (a) this would only be feasible if messages have some sort of unique identifier and (b) it's rather a complex workaround for SE's unfortunate API oversight... On the other hand, it would be great if it could be done!

The sync file could quite large. It could be stored in phone memory, or memory card, depending on a setting in MPE. The sync file is olny used by MPE.

Anyway, it's just an idea.

By the way, thank you soo much for implementing the Tooltip that shows which Calendar will be sync'd - this is so useful...

To be honest: How many users have diffrent PCs and how many of them use on both Computers MyPhoneExplorer ? I think below 10% -> this is not a solution.

Yes, I think you may be correct, on the whole.

But for me, the ease of using my SE phone on more than one PC (desktop, laptop and work), for texting and calendar, thanks to MPE, is a convincing argument to stay with SE. Hence my workaround idea. Let's see if anyone else reads this and says, me too?

I know it's not your fault, but missing sent times is one big issue, and this is one way to chip away at the corners of the problem.

Do SE support SMS sent times on any later / recent models, or is this a problem for all SE phones ever made?

Its a problem of all models. SE never answered my requests to fix this

Okay, maybe I should replace one SE phone, and three PCs, with a smart phone, fruity number maybe? But I'd miss my CyberShot with AutoFocus and Xenon flash though...
