It would be nice to have an option to select or deselect calls and messages from syncing. Now when i delete a message from the dashboard it deletes it from my phone. Thanks

Please tell me the sense in deleting a message from MPE but not from phone. You can use the archive to store messages
Syncing

The same sense that was used when you can select which phone numbers you can sync and not sync. I never wanted it to be synced. Hence why i said i would like the option to not sync. Now that it is synced and on my computer when i went to delete them it came off my computer and the phone.

Oh no

yes i know that timestamp thing is screwed up in SE.. often MPE does not know when a particular msg was sent in the Sent Items.
Anyway I'd like to report a bug issue.. If you open a new sms message window, the checkbox which says "Save successful deliveries..." has bounds longer than the window itself.. i mean this checkbox can be clicked even from behind the Send button.
See this picture:
Click on the red dotted area and you'll see checkbox can be checked/unchecked from here as well. The 'bug' is that when im sending a msg in a hurry, i sometimes click on that portion and the checkbox goes off. That way my msg doesnt get stored in the Sent Items.
Hope it helps improving your software! All the best!

Hi,
Sorry if this has already been suggested
Request: New option to automatically change the phone's audio settings depending on whether it is connected to MPE or not.
Why: Sitting in a quiet office landscape, I want my phone muted when using MPE as I am notified of new messages and incoming calls via the tray and/or sounds in my headphones. However, when leaving my desk and putting my phone in the pocket, I want to make sure that the phone is no longer muted. Doing this manually many times a day is annoying.
Solution: A client is required on the phone to turn the phone's sound back on when the connection is dropped, thus this request will probable only make sense on Android devices. To avoid cluttering the GUI in MPE for non-Android users, the configuration could be done on the phone by extending the existing client.

@itzfaraz: Will be fixed
@ped: Good idea, i'll see what i can do for you but - as you already said its only possible for Android-Phones

First I wish to congratulate you on providing support to Android. I believe that this app has a lot of potential in Android environment.
Two features I would like to see for Android;
1. Add the ability to send emails via MPE.
2. Bluetooth connectivity.
Apologies if these features have been asked for.
Keep up the excellent work.

Android calendar sync

I was happily surprised to see that MyPhoneExplorer now supports Android, and it seems to work well. But I have one wish regarding syncing the calendar. On my phone, I have calendar entries from GMail-calendars and birthday-reminder-entries from Facebook. And I would like to be able to sync my phone with Thunderbird without syncing these items. Would it be possible to add support for selecting which calendars on the phone to sync with?

Can I just say Im loving the android support. I relied on myphone explorer for years for my ericssons and now I can use it with my android phone.
Its a galaxy S so the software sucks and stops working once you fill the phone up with too much media, basically the USB connection fails, hence why im loving myphoneexplorers wireless sync.
So, the request,
Its to do with syncing pictures. I can set up a sync of my bazillion digital photos but unfortunately they arn't compressed so they quickly fill up my phone. The dream is to have pics compressed as they sync so my phone isnt full of unnecesarily big pictures for the small screen size. Similar to how my Zune/itunes software handles pictures syncing.
Maybe there is a way to do it but I havent found it yet.
Anyway, loving the software and have done so for years.

Hi, said it elsewhere already, but this software is a relief for all android users!
So please see my post as if from a beta-tester, I am certainly not complaining okay

?! Again: this is so much better than other software around! What I indicated are a few things that are not (fully) working, and a few minor-functions that I missed that might be not too difficult to implement (but I'm not a programmer of course

)
The following items are not (completely) functioning:
- Memory Status isn't giving any information
- "Memory Stick" --> android phones have SD-card, so perhaps rename this part "External Memory"
- The phone filebrowser isn't able to handle the symlinks that are used for a2sd and such. (I don't blame you

, this could win over a lot of the custom-rom crowd though)
- The tools -> debug Fenster (and the farbshema too) are german only, might be handy to have the debug in english as well.
- The alarm feature isn't working with my phone. This might be because I deleted the standard alarm app, not sure.
And the features I missed:
- cut/copy/paste/move files and folders on the sd-card
- Foldertree structure for file manager
- app icons in the application list
- See / manage contact groups
- Cancel button for the sync window (right now it will cancel the other tasks, but not the one the program is currently suncing)
- Change the timescale in calender week / day view.
(- And then a huge feature that's perhaps a bit off, but really remote-controlling the phone would be so awesome for WhatsApp and other programs)
Hope this was useful for you!
And last but not least, small donation is on it's way, and if the cut/copy/paste feature makes the next release I think I'll make another one

.
Gadget.

A calender gadget for vista/7 that keeps you informed of your next appointments (using my phone explorer calender). that would be nice.

Memory Status isn't giving any information
Please post the logfile after resfreshing MemoryStatus in a new thread
MemoryStick: You are right, but its a minor thing
Renaming/moving in Filebrowser: maybe useful, but other things have more priority at the moment
Tools: Its only for debugging and not for users to play with it

so there is no need to translate
Alarm: Yes, Alarm-Handling works only on the native Android-App or on the HTC-Worldclock
Foldertree structure is already implemented, check out the toolbar
app icons: It needs already yet very long to load the apps list. with icons it would need much longer
Groups-access: maybe useful but basicly not really important
Cancel-Button in Sync: Technically really problematic to stop a running sync and to avoid duplicates on the next sync or other problems
Remote-Controlling: As interested Android-User i'm sure you know that this would be possible only on rooted devices
You can already use Week or Month/Day-View in Calendar
Sync Work Address

FJ,
For starters, it looks like you have solved the problem of sync'ing Outlook and Andriod phones!
Does MPE sync the WORK ADDRESS field in Outlook to the Android?
I am running MPE client V1.0.4 and Droid X V 2.2.
Thanks!

Hi FJ,
I did not know this little program is still around after so very long. Thanks for keeping it updated and downloadable.
I love the fact that it is now compatible with my X10i, which is a mix bag of a product. However, myphonexplorer has just made it a whole lot better.
Just one request, and it may be too much to ask, but can you please help us by giving us the power to delete pre-installed apps (aka bloatwares) that are just plain stupid and very annoying.
Thank you very much.

FJ hat geschrieben:@Don: Its a interesting idea - the question is if a year-split would fix the problem. There are enought users which write a hugh amount of messages also in less than one year. The second problem is that MPE is still not able to read out the date of sent messages. For the duplicate-check it would be needed to load all messages (duplicates are checked everytime you copy messages into the archive)
Thanks a zillions for this software.
Is there a way to create "subfolders" for archives? I don't mind sorting them manually, but everytime i archives a message in a given folder, it opens it. With a folder with a lot of messages, i need to scroll up to be able to close it.
If i can have subfolders, than i can manage it myself.
So if i could: right-click on "archive folder" and have "create subfolder", i would be happy.
Or if the interface make a subfolder tree when the folder has '\' or '/' in it, it would be fine with me too.
Thanks again,
